Hannah and the staff are the best. A low key dive bar for those in the know. I had a hard cider and celebrated birthdays.
Low key lounge with good music, dim lighting, a variety of cocktails, and overall just a relaxing vibe. Nothing fancy about this place at all which is perfect for those who just want to unwind.
There is also the occasional clothing pop up shop happening in the back every once in a while as well. But when there isn't, the pool table is a fun option.
Faculty Lounge is slowly becoming my go-to spot. The atmosphere is chill and and comfortable. The bar snacks are also a big hit for me. All of the bartenders there should be given a raise frankly- they’re cocktail chefs. I’ve never disliked a suggestion they’ve made :)
Charleston has no shortage of bars with great drinks, but Faculty is a standout among the rest for locals like myself. The building itself has rich history and the bartenders are one of a kind. I love Jorge and Nathan, and all of the staff treats everyone with respect, are kind to new faces, and will definitely make you laugh! It’s an inclusive place, and that’s increasingly rare in this city. ❤️
Cool little bar with a fun atmosphere. Lauren is my favorite bartender in Charleston.
We had a wonderful time. The bartenders were entertaining, knowledgeable. Fun environment!
We had a great time!
This joint lives in a space of incongruity that welcomes the adventurous, or maybe just the bored. Ring the bell, come inside, let the the bartender guide you, and just chill. The happy hour is a happy time and the pool table may or may not work. But who cares? If you are here, then where else do you need to be? Good enough.
We were referred to this spot from a local bartender and we were pleasantly surprised. There is a bar when you first walk in and little tables and chairs further in the back. We went on a Friday night and there was a DJ playing. The bartender was attentive and the drinks were good and heavy handed. We ordered a bowl of ramen. It was average tasting but it came with a few upgrades like sesame oil and soy sauce served on the side. If we were to visit Charleston again, I would definitely want to come back here.
If you know it's there, you know where it is. If you don't, well...
Ring the bell and they'll let you in. Great cocktail list, but they can make you whatever you like.
A very rare experience in Charleston because it is a speakeasy. The bartenders are great, and the ambience and vibe are a must. Mostly only locals tend to frequent this bar, so it really is a hidden gem.
I also love that they have ramen they sell with their liquor and beer - it’s not a bad combination! Faculty is probably one of my favorite bars in town!
