GLUTEN-FREE BISCUITS! OMG, this place is amazing! We were already stuffed from lunch but passed by here and knew we needed to try. Callie’s Hot Little Biscuit must be a staple here in Charleston because a bunch of stores sell their biscuit mix! This place has got to have some of the best biscuits you will try anywhere. SO MANY options, from sweet to savory! You can even create your own biscuit however you’d like with whatever toppings you want (or make it into a sandwich) - let your imagination run wild! Since it was our first visit and we were already full, we just got a gluten-free biscuit to try with cinnamon butter. The gluten-free biscuit was literally better than most place’s normal biscuits…if that doesn’t say anything, I don’t know what will! And the cinnamon butter was AMAZING! Just try this place if you’re contemplating. You don’t have to get a lot - just get a small biscuit and try with cinnamon butter or another topping. You’ll enjoy it!!
This place serves the best Southern biscuits. I had the pimento cheese biscuit and the taste was out of the world. Highly recommend!

We decided to have lunch here while strolling through the city market and what a beautiful surprise it was. We had the BLT sandwich, the biscuit was so beautiful, soft but didn’t fall apart. The toppings were well flavoured (garlic roasted tomatoes mmmm) and the sides a perfect accompaniment. We also got the 3 for 6$ sweet biscuits which were smaller in size but each one was so so delicious. The lemonade and mint iced tea were great as well.

The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. They biscuit bowl was yum (but the grits needed a little extra seasoning). A very southern experience, overall.
Was not expecting for the biscuits to be that big and fluffy. The bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit was great! Don't worry if you don't like the biscuit options, you can build your own biscuit too!
This is a good option whether you want to keep a meal on the lighter side or go full indulgence. There are sweet and savory options which are pretty quickly served up in a very busy location. It gets crowded since it's located inside the market and you need to stand to the side until your order is ready. They have some merchandise for purchase, a lot of which is the same stuff you'll find throughout several of the market shops.
I had the goat cheese and arugula biscuit with blackberry jam which was delicious. The flavors were great together, but things weren't evenly spread on the biscuit at all so some of it was just jam, some was just cheese, and the arugula was everywhere. Still good, but it made me wish I had a knife to spread everything around a little more.
My husband and I split the “hot honey chicken sandwich” and YUMMY! It was perfect. The biscuit was delicious and the honey was amazing! I wanted another
Amazing! This was by far the best breakfast sandwich I ever had. We tried a variety of items and they were all amazing! Skip the fancy breakfast places and just go here!!!
UPDATE: Someone from Callie's reached out after we had a negative experience and did everything they could to make it right! Definitely recommend trying their Charleston location.

We were so excited to try Callie's Hot Little Biscuit and unfortunately were very disappointed. The stand was messy, the staff could not care less, they seemed bothered by us wanting to order, and the biscuits were dry and flavorless.
Biscuits were very good tasting. The location is also very good right in the market. Unfortunately, the service was subpar. The gentleman at the counter, ivory. Was not very nice - no “southern charm”
