We ended up eating at this restaurant because it's one of the very few open on Mondays in Bryson City. We're so glad we did! The service was excellent, prompt and friendly, accommodated our special requests without hesitation. The waitress checked on us regularly. The food was excellent, even by Tex-Mex snob standards (after living in Houston for 35 years we like to think of ourselves as Tex Mex food experts 🤣). I had shrimp poblanos and my husband pork enchiladas Zacatecanas. I highly recommend the Texana margaritas on the rocks, they really hit the spot! The chips and salsa were good. The only thing I would suggest would be that they offer another bean option; not everyone likes refried beans and it wouldn't cost them much to offer simple black beans or charro beans. But we'll definitely be back!
This is a nice place to grab some good Mexican food. Located right outside downtown Bryson City, NC. I had the torta asada and my husband had the El Rancho. The portions were plenty, I even had some to take home. Every meal is served with homemade chips and delicious salsa.
Service and food were great. A loud annoying and very large group of people came in after us and since there isn’t a waiting area they had to stand next to our table the whole time until we left. Really good food I would return for, though.
Great place to eat sitting in back outside by the river is perfect for enjoying dinner and a drink. Go check them out next time your in Cherokee or Bryson City
My wife and I passed this place a few times in our travels around the area, and it seemed to attract quite a few customers. So we swung by to see what it was like. The quantity of customers ended up biting us in the rear because there were no seats available. There wasn't anyone at the door to help us, and the wait staff were running around like chickens with their heads cut off. Fortunately, the bar tender saw us and invited us over to sit while he tried to get us a table. 20 minutes later, we were seated. The atmosphere isn't anything special, but it is cozy. The bar tender ended up serving our food as well, which was nice because he was pleasant. The chips were decent, and salsa was pretty good. My wife really enjoyed her enchiladas. I had a burrito and chimichanga. I have to say that the beef burrito had very nicely flavored beef, and there was a lot of it. Normally, a beef burrito isn't all that special. I've also gotta give credit to the refried beans. They had great flavor, and I had trouble stopping myself from eating once I was full. Overall, I can see why this place is popular. I hope to visit again.

We ate here couple weeks ago during our stay in Bryson City,N.C. The weather permitted us an opportunity to enjoy our dinner outside on their patio. Food was good, service was great. Would definitely go again. It's on 19 in-between Bryson City and Cherokee.
Wow!
We are faithful patrons of Guayabitos and thought this was THE Mexican spot in Bryson City, BUT La Poblana just stole the #1 spot.
Great service to begin with. Very friendly and accommodating staff. More importantly though, FOOD IS OFF THE CHAIN! Super delicious and authentic. Did not have to wait too long for it either. Soup, tacos, El Molcajete everything was top notch.
Salsa was one of the best I've had. Tortillas were handmade for the tacos. The Al Pastor had a wonderful char and the chorizo was delicious.
Food was amazing and super filling! Husband and I had fajitas for 2 and still had some left over! Will definitely be back!
The BEST Mexican Restaurant in Bryson City & surrounding area! Authentic, quick, friendly service. It's a small place but worth the wait!
