The only thing missing from this place is a backroom speakeasy with the same smooth R&B music. Everything was done very well. Drinks are heavy pours too and I appreciated that.

Highly recomendable! Wow! It was the nicest and kindest people who welcomed and served us. We had an extraordinary fun night at Sally Roots with good food, better cocktails, and the best crew. The Ropa Vieja is good, the wings are very good, and the lobster at another level.

Yo on some real stuff. This is the best place to go in brooklyn. There a stall white lady who works the main shift I forgot her name but she’s amazing. There’s two very great servers here named Julie and Maddie. I literally have not ever received service in life like this in a long time. I will be back with my friends and business partners. Thank you Julie ! & thank you Maddie!

Bottomless brunch, woohoo! Delicious food! The shrimp and grits has a wonderful twist to it by sally roots *home made hot sauce*. The flavors are an explosion in your mouth. The mimosas come in a variety of flavors and keep flowing. The garden area is a cute space for an outdoor meal. Overall, I recommend!

I fell in love the first time I came to NY, it is only right that I come back again! The food is top notch and the frozen drinks are just what the doctor ordered! (Not pictured : Conch Fritters & Grilled Shrimp are listed under small plates)

Went for a weeknight dinner and was very impressed by the food. I ordered the oxtail and dumplings. It was phenomenal. Don’t forget a side of their iconic garlic sauce! The service and environment were both very pleasant. The cocktails were higher quality than I anticipated, as well. I highly recommend their take on a passionfruit mojito.

The ambiance, music, the drinks, the food, all were so delish. Their specialty drink "Benevolence, Benevolence" was super amazing. I highly recommend this restaurant. I wish it weren't so windy and cold during my visit. Otherwise, I would have dined in their yard...such a unique setup.

Seriously incredible service that is well-deserving of the automatic 20% gratuity applied to each bill! Their outdoor garden area is lovely too. We tried the Oasis mocktails, Caribbean tatertots, fried sweet plantains with a side of garlic sauce, and mufongo (one vegan and one with duck.) flavors were great, food came out quickly too! There are definitely a few vegan and vegetarian options on the menu I’d like to try next time.

Was a random walk-in into Sally Roots around 8 pm on Wednesday, and the place looked very inviting with comfortable indoor and outdoor seating. We decided to sit outdoors and the setup was good. We scanned their online menu and ordered beers - I got the Dos Equis priced at $7. My beer was quite flat unfortunately, but I did not bother flagging the staff about the same. We ordered Curried Chicken ($18) and Curried Vegetables ($17) as our mains, and while priced on a slightly higher side, the food was pretty good. Rice portion was a little light, and my curried veggies were slightly on the sweeter side. They contained medium chunks of carrot, potato, and celery, seasoned with Caribbean yellow curry sauce. It was not spicy and I wish they served it with some nice spicy scotch bonnet sauce. I also ordered a Pacifico ($6) which was slightly better than the Dos Equis. Service was good, food arrived within 20 minutes of placing our orders, and noise level was moderate - easy to have conversations. Overall - a good experience.
