Taiyaki NYC in Williamsburg is a sweet haven! The fish-shaped cones with "Matcha ice-cream" is not only Instagram-worthy but also delicious. The cozy spot radiates a fun vibe, making it a perfect place to indulge in delightful taiyaki treats. A must-visit for those with a sweet tooth!. Definitely coming back for more.:)

Pretty good, one ice cream cone (taiyaki?) is a good amount for two people, might be overkill for one person. Flavors are good, really liked the hojicha. Not as strong as the matcha with a nice roasted flavor. Not too sweet It's pretty messy to eat and there's not that much filling inside the taiyaki but other than that, not bad. Soft serve is pretty hard to mess up though.

Tiny shop with Super cute ice creams, their seasonal punkin spice flavor it great, as are their other flavors. The fishy cone is adorable and the custard is good. You'll get a bit messy but it's definitely worth it. I'll for sure be stopping in again

Absolutely delicious. My wife and I really enjoyed coming to this cute dessert spot! The staff was friendly, and the restaurant smelled AMAZING. The Taiyaki was delicious and fresh, and the ice cream itself was smooth and creamy (and not TOO sweet).

What's dinner without dessert? After Friday night dinner reservations at a local spot a few blocks away, my friend and I decided something sweet was needed to complete the night. She suggested Taiyaki and when I mentioned that still have not tried it, it was confirmed that's where we were headed. We arrived to absolutely no parking so we took turns to enter and order. Small shop, just enough room for you to order and wait, then head on your way. I admitted to the young lady that this was my first time. She suggested their popular "Unicorn", she said everyone gets it mainly for the looks/pictures. However, if I wanted something a little bolder she suggested the "Straight Out Of Japan." I went with the Straight Out Of Japan: Matcha (green tea) & Hojicha (roasted matcha) ice cream w/ Red Bean Taiyaki cone. Think Brownie or Pie à la mode... a scoop of ice cream on a hot slice of pie or brownie. It's the best way to describe the combination of a warm pastry with ice cream. Now make it handheld and that is "Taiyaki." A warm waffle like shaped fish cone called Taiyaki. They fill the mouth of the fish pastry with a swirl of soft serve, flavors predetermined or of your choice. The pastry itself can also be filled with custard or red bean, and then they top your treat with more treats like colorful sprinkles or mochi, for the picture perfect finish. I enjoyed the Straight Out Of Japan. The Matcha (green tea) & Hojicha (roasted matcha) ice cream was a nice combo and not too over powering. The Taiyaki cone was soft and not too sweet. However, I didn't finish the whole cone, by the time I reached the Red Bean, it became a little too much and my sweet tooth was satisfied. We arrived at the perfect time because on a nice Friday night as soon as we order and got back in the car the line instantly was out the door. Nice treat worth checking out especially if you have never tried it. Just A Note: They sell Mochi Donuts.

I loved the ice cream, it was delicious and not too sweet. The freshly made waffle cone was literally a fluffy waffle and I really enjoyed that. However, I am taking a star off because the store was quite dirty. It looked like the floor hadn’t been mopped in a while and the trash outside was overflowing. The order iPad was also out of service. Could use some tlc. Fully wheelchair accessible but nowhere to sit and enjoy your ice cream.

So my husband found this place and we up and went. I got the hojicha icecream in a bear (no filling) which was a good size, not too sweet, soft in the middle and a cookie monster donut. He ordered a matcha better, the bean filling is nice and smooth and the icecream was creamy, the rainbow mochi wasn't sweet at all which was delightful. He also asked for a churro donut but he was given a chocolate heaven donut instead. Other than that everything was yummy, the donuts nice and fluffy can't wait to go back next time and try something else since they was about to close and had limited things left.

How can you NOT love combining refreshing soft serve with fluffy hot Taiyaki? As a photographer, you also can't beat how Instagram friendly it looks, so cute! Only complaint that I don't really know how to fix is how VERY VERY quick your soft serve will melt against the hot and fresh Taiyaki. I liked that being hot so you just have to EAT QUICK! The matcha milk drink was also great, though don't sip before shaking it up like I did - SO BITER I thought I hated it. It does look pretty but much better once shaken up with the milk :)

LOVED this place! The strawberry mango flavor was sooooo delicious. I've never had a cone like they made, but it was just as good. It had the consistency of a waffle/cake and it wasn't too rich at all. At the very end of the cone they put some sweet mashed red beans. Very different and tasty. Will definitely be coming back!

Got there early in time to get the pancakes which were delicious. I was worried that it wouldn’t live up to the hype but it did. Pancake has a super super soft and had a marshmallow type of feel to it inside. The ice cream is great too although I didn’t get any on this outing. No place is perfect. 4 out of 5 stars is the highest I go.
