Lovely restaurant, it has an upscale modern feel and the service is excellent. They have a great variety of spritzes that were delicious. The bruschetta was flavorful, the bread was thicker and softer than you would expect for bruschetta. The meats and cheese plate was good. The burrata was interesting, nice smoky flavor and well-cooked eggplant. The gnocchi was pillowy and truffle dominated the flavor. The linguine was perfect al dente and I loved the crispy chili but the broccoli rabe cream had a strong bitter flavor. The octopus was perfectly cooked and the ragu was very flavorful. The menu was unique and intriguing and it felt like an authentic experience.

A special little place serving rich, flavorful dishes. I was dining for one, and it’s often hard to find seating at restaurants in the city when you’re dining solo - I was pleased to find Flora staff accommodating and friendly. I ordered the Gnocchi al tartufo and a glass of Prosecco. The gnocchi was delicious, bursting with layers of reggiano and truffle oil. Delicious and satisfying.

Loved this cozy place in Brooklyn near my friend's home. The pasta was fabulous! Our two dishes had just the right amount of truffle (stuffed gnocchi) and lemon (ravioli). Hard to do! Truffle can be so overpowering. The cocktails were lovely, too -- made me feel like I was actually in Italy.

I’m sitting here while typing this review because I don’t want to forget about this find. It’s intimate and inviting the food is warm and hearty. I’m dinning alone but it’s a space for seems like anyone I’ve seen families, friends, and dates all while dinning comfortably alone. If you’re nearby or even if you’re not come visit this delicious place. I had the gnocchi with black truffle and other things but most importantly black truffles 🤤 (I had and an appetizer meat and cheese board adjust for one and I’m looking at dessert but that gnocchi!!) UPDATE : I bit the dessert and the pear ricotta pie? 10 outta 10 it’s somehow soft, fluffy, and decadent. Even if you’re thinking “pear and ricotta?! That’s not my thing TRY IT. Trust me 🥰

Had the burrata, gnocchi, and eggplant parm. Momma always said leave room for dessert, and while this was the most delicious meal I've had in 2023, the dessert was divine. 100% great date spot, too. Gratuity is included and that is reflected in the pricing but honestly if you go out to eat often you'll barely notice the difference in price. There's a reason they've recently gotten a Michelin shout out.

The most authentic taste of Italy you can find in NYC. Everything on the menu is excellent and the owners are from Italy and really put there love and passion into their culinary art to bring you the best tastes of Italy they can offer. Always on my list of places to visit and menu changes seasonally. Best cup of cappuccino and espresso you can find!!!

Nice background music you could talk over. Very generous and beautifully presented cheese and cured meat appetizer for 2. Decent reasonably priced wine list. Ravioli with lemon zest was delicious, and my husband loved the linguinie with clams. No tipping required but we left something for the nice service. Would definitely go again.

When you ask people in the area for Italian restaurant recommendations the first on the list is usually Pasta Louise. Or when you go on yelp, Pasta Louise jumps out. I'd like to make sure that changes today and vote Flora be first. Flora and Pasta Louise are separated by one block but might as well be miles apart when it comes to credible Italian food. For those that praise at the alter of Pasta Louise, here's a tip, run don't walk to Flora. It might not be the best Italian restaurant but it's truly authentic and genuine in its representation of Italian food. We enjoyed the mozzarella de bufala with tomatoes which also included beets. I thought it was odd but it worked. We shared the salt cod and the eggplant parm. All simply prepared and packed with flavor. The wine list is a bit expensive, actually I would say almost unaffordable when it comes to the bottle list. It drives me crazy when I go to a neighborhood joint and cannot find a bottle of wine in the $50 range. There's no excuse for not having at least one bottle at that price point. The service was solid. The ambiance is simple and clean. No loud colors or cartoon caricatures. I would encourage Pasta Louise to talk to Flora's interior designers but then again when you run the Italian version of TGI Fridays maybe the point is to hide the food behind clever branding and over the top designs. And cartoon figures. Hmm. I think McDonald's also has a cartoon character like Pasta Louise. Flora recently received a Michelin star. I'm not sure I agree with that designation but I will say it's one of the better Italian restaurants in the park slope area and would put it on par with Terre and Al Di La.
