I came here with a group for a group dinner. There were supposed to be 10 of us, 8 showed up. We were able to get a table on a weeknight right away.
Pros:
- server offered to do individual checks right away knowing we were a group
- salsa is amazing
- food was good, I got a combo with tamale and flautas and enjoyed it. I also liked that it came with corn cake and sour cream
- affordable
Cons:
- I ordered my combo specifically because it had a corn cake... corn cake was served on top of lettuce, cold. Dissapointing.
- Service overall was slow... they were not busy, our waiter was not serving lots of tables, but it took a while to get drinks, salsa refills and to order. Food itself came out like 5 minutes after we ordered it.
Overall it was a good experience and I would come back. Food had good flavor and they offer daily specials.
We are from Utah and have a Taco Tuesday tradition. We Googled Mexican food and found this place. It was pretty dang awesome! Being from the West, we are serious about our Mexican food. I had the combo plate with a chicken chimichanga and the Chile Poblano. I actually liked the beans!! I usually HATE beans. These beans were great! The whole plate was spectacular! The atmosphere was very family friendly too. Had a great experience!
Went to this place on a whim and was very happy. The server was very attentive and friendly. The food was great, I especially loved the salsa. The decor and the music were nice. Overall a great experience 👍
Very good preparation of fajitas. Friendly servers, but they had difficulty getting everything out at the same time for our group. Reasonable prices as well. Altogether, this is a good restaurant and a good value. So why not five stars? There are a number of small items about the food that limit them to four rather than five stars, but it is quite an enjoyable place.
Wonderfully authentic Mexican restaurant, amazing service, colorful atmosphere, and superb food. We had just landed in town for a vacation and had to find a Mexican restaurant for our Taco Tuesday tradition. We liked the sound of the name and were NOT disappointed. It was as authentic and real Mexican as we had hoped. We were treated beautifully during our meal and the food was the perfect temperature and taste. We were sad that this wasn't a place that we could visit often, since it doesn't exist in the West where we were from. Would visit again when in town.

I liked the food, but there was a lot of onions in the guacamole, salsa and other items that I ordered. Almost too much onion taste. In this case I didn't prefer that much onions in my food. However, if you come for an authentic Mexican food experience, this just might be your place. There was no wait even on a Friday night with a party of eight. Overall, the experience was good.
I like my food sometimes special ordered, as I did this time. I was met with very friendly people and smiles. My food was very fresh and authentic. For what I asked for the food and drink was reasonably priced. I will return again and again. Thank you to the people of Chimis Fresh- Mex.
Wow! Different than the Colorado Tex Mex I'm used to. Refreshing and tasty. Go for the combo meals. The place got its name because they make great chimichangas.
This was my first time here. The food I had was ok. The taco I felt should have had more than lettuce and meat. The margarita was good though.
