My meal was delicious. I can’t speak for service directly or atmosphere as I had the food delivered via Uber Eats, but this was almost precisely what I wanted and I am a hard customer to please.
My two misgivings are that the crab rangoons were a tad soggy on the bottom, and the broccoli in the general Gau’s chicken was a little tough.
However whatever the detractors, the positives far outweigh them. The chicken, though white meat which is usually not my fave, was prepared and fried perfectly and was both juicy inside and crispy outside. The amount of sauce was just right. Four rangoons came with the combo meal which seems reasonably generous, filling tasted just right. I also upgraded the combo with a second app accompaniment— got an egg roll which was just right with cabbage and pork filling. Duck sauce was not too sweet and had that nice hint of fruit flavor that reminds me of applesauce— just right. Fried rice was not mushy nor was it dry, just right, with a wonderful little bit of smokiness/molasses flavor, a little bean sprout and a sprinkling of nice pork pieces.
Base price excluding delivery fees and tip for the driver was around $20 and it’s easily enough for two filling meals (The photo i included was after I ate half at least).I look forward to trying other dishes in future!

As a long time resident of Westie, I have utilized West Garden for Chinese cuisine for many years. The management has changed a few times, but the current owners and staff are the very best. Their food is always extremely fresh and cooked to perfection. Their friendly and courteous service is superior to others.

The freshest made to order food made in front of you. I have been coming here since high school. 32 now and if I'm ever in the area I have to stop by. The owner is an amazing father and was always so nice and welcoming to my friends and I. Love West Garden!

Salt and pepper shrimp are good but really spicy and crab Rangoon is decent. So far this place has been the best for Chinese fast food in W. Roxbury. It seems there aren’t good places around here for Chinese food.

Every time I call the same guy picks up and is EXTREMELY POLITE! I don't know how he does it but for years he is always upbeat,kind, and in an awesome mood every time he answers the phone!

This Asian restaurant in my opinion has the top shelf House special fried rice, accompanied with lobster sauce, and a side of chicken wings (Chinese style). Which is also one of my favorite dishes to order from this establishment. Not to mention the boneless spare ribs there are also great with meal. I heard they deliver which is good, but I wonder there range covers my local (not sure what the distance/range of delivery is). Which would sure make change the rating from 4 to 5 stars. Worth the trip though.
