The best place to buy cake!! Not overly sweet and very delicious! They have other desserts too but their cakes are the best! They have strawberry, peach, chestnut and taro fillings! Chestnut and taro fillings needs to be requested a day or two in advance! My favorite is the taro, which is pictured below!
For breakfast, they have pan fried noodles and congee. Excellent cakes, not overly sweet. Try the mango cake in the summer and Chestnut in the winter; and the fresh fruit cake year round.You will not be disappointed. Dec 2021 no congee but still great noodles and excellent egg tart.
My dad who is a picky eater really enjoyed his birthday cake from Eldo and even had seconds! This is a great cake for people who don't like super sugary desserts and prefer whipped cream to buttercream frosting. $30 for a medium cake with fresh strawberry filling.

Eldo is my favorite bakery in Chinatown! With the freshest, flakiest, softest pastries and bread, I always stop in whenever I come into the city. Everything here is super affordable, the people behind the counter make it easy to order if you don't speak any Chinese, and there's always something if you have a sweet tooth or are looking for something savory. Pictured is the green tea swiss roll.
Look on the wall right above the bakery case on the left - there's a menu of all of the buns and baos not in the pastry case (like the char siu, custard, and red bean baos). I always carry cash because of this place.
They definitely have the best egg tart in Boston!!! Every other dim sum is also great! Highly recommend this cake house!

This place has the best sponge cakes you can find in Boston...I usually get either the strawberry or peach filling...The cake are delicious and have just enough sugar which are perfect for my family and friends...The only problem this place has is there is no parking whatsoever...I suggest having someone wait outside in the car while you place your order...
I buy the durian cake here for every one of my family members birthdays. Their cakes are layered with fresh fruits and actual durian fruit. The prices are very reasonable. I’ve been going here for many years and they maintain the quality throughout the years. American cakes are boring and way to sweet.
