Unassuming place with a guy who barely speaks any English and makes you wonder, "Did he get my order right??" The place is a gem, one of the few places that's still open and taking orders at 11:45 PM on a Tuesday night after playing darts, a Mecca for drunk folks, an oasis for hungry hungry hippos. Couple of people eating in, and few others came in for take out like I did.
I ordered beef brisket flat noodles. Nearly two pounds of beef parts (tendons & all), bok choy, and flat noodles. It was so heavy, I was leaning one way as I walked out of the restaurant. I'm afraid I'm going to eat the whole thing when I get home. Night night Boston!
Best Chinese place I have ever been to. Great food great service ! I wish I lived next to this place I would eat it everyday no cap
Awesome food, but the staff needs to relax when collecting the check. They place the check and less than 2 minutes after, they come back to grab it and give you dirty looks if it's not ready.
It's funny though, quirk of the place.
The food was as good as I remember (first ate here 41 years ago). I love that they still have their distinctive RED hot and sour soup after all these years - so good. Peking ravioli and beef teriyaki both excellent, as was the beef and vegetable chow mein (with "Chinatown style" crispy pan-fried noodles).
The food excelent, but need to improve the cleaning table, bathroom
The eels in the tank give me nightmares , but other than that it’s a great , late night spot.
I took the Veggie fried rice and fried tofu (it was good and I had huge portions, enough for 3 meals all together) and my boyfriend took the chicken fried rice with fried shrimps (he didn't quite like the chicken fried rice, he didn't like the chicken bits in it 🤷🏾♀️) all together it was good.. But the bill was much more then I expected $$, and they included their tip in it (without asking) which I thought was TOO much!.. But when you're hungry at 2am I guess you don't have much choices!
...... The total bill was 76$
Love to go there after the night parties! I love the food that is always hearty and not too expensive !! Attendants strive to be friendly always despite the different language!
Been coming here since I was a teenager at the ymca in Chinatown playing bballl amazing scallion pancakes and udon noodles
Best late Chinese in Boston probably even Massachusetts
