Food was good. The nacho appetizer was very minimal but good. Relaxed atmosphere.

Started with Guacamole, Salsa, and Chips. Guac is nearly perfect. All of our food was well prepared. I am really picky with Mexican food. The flavors were mixed across out various plates. Some items could have had a little more seasoning. Enchiladas, Pinto beans, and Quesadillas were great! Shrimp Fajitas, Carnitas, and rice could have had a little more flavor. Atmosphere and service was great. I will definitely go back.

Fantastic food Carnitas were scrumptious. The flavor of everything on the dish held its own no overlaying sauces or such. The meat was tender and the flavor was deep through and through. The beans held a smoky flavor that kept you coming back for more. Highly recommend this place Zen West.

We haven't been to Zen West in ages! But, we had a great experience overall on a recent visit. We arrived on a Friday evening and were lucky to be seated at a table right away. I don't think I ever saw anyone having to wait for a table that night. We ordered a couple of margs, an app and entrees. The app was the only disappointment/unusual thing. I have never seen nachos presented this way at a restaurant. While very tasty, they looked like what I made as a teen in the oven at my parent's house. Odd. But tasty.
The drinks were good, and had a decent pour. I got the spicy margarita and it lived up to its name! My kiddo got the crab and shrimp quesadilla, which was very good. My hubs got the Ahi Tuna Tacos which he said were very good and I got the Carnitas Burrito, also very good! Maybe the sides could have been a bit larger, it was a small amount of rice and a lot of lettuce.
I am sure we will be back!

Although they've been understaffed, my service here a few nights ago was still awesome! Our hostess was very sweet, and she got our order out to us in a timely fashion...plus the seafood quesadilla is sooo good!

One of my favorite neighborhood spots. The food is good, certain itms like the grilled wings are AMAZING, depending on who you are. The atmosphere is what I go for. That and the community spirit. Oh and the nice selection of booze.

Olivia, Charlie and Carissa are the best here. Definitely a feel good spot. Quick and friendly service. The have a great bands and a speakeasy! How could you go wrong??

Came in to watch A Sound of Thunder. The entire building is really cool. There's the restaurant, stage and speak easy currently. We had some fantastic drinks, fun and tasty food.
