I’ve eaten here several times over the last year. I love, love, love the pupusas!! They are made to order and delicious. The bean is my favorite. Make sure to eat them with the curtido and salsa. The staff is friendly. The prices are great. The store is small, five tables and a counter, but welcoming. They play music and decorate for the holidays. There are fancier looking places on this street, but this is by far my favorite.
So good! I love papusas and these were perfect! I got the pork, bean and cheese, and cheese papusas and they were all excellent. The pork was an absolute winner (I want like 7 more). They aren’t tiny, three is a nice solid portion and at around $2 a pop you can’t beat it. My partner got the 1/4 dark meat chicken and it was falling off the bone tender. The side fried plantains were just a little caramelized *chefs kiss*. Overall, would totally do again.
Their food tastes authentic and delicious. Me and my nephew tried their chicken burritos and both of us agreed they were both bigger and better than Chipotle's. That's a huge compliment coming from us. The portions are huge. I came back for a chicken quesadilla and was impressed once again. It looks like it's family owned which makes me want to support it more too. This is going to be my new spot.
Delicious food, excellent value. I ordered the half chicken with two sides (~$10) and was presented a plate with heaping portions, an extra side, and a very tasty cup of soup on the side. Good for a quick bite or take out.
I love the chicken ! Sometimes the sides are ok and sometimes sides are a little over cooked.. their sauces are just right and friendly workers always. The other dishes I tried , like the red snapper ehh not as good as it looked at all ... but hey it’s a chicken place 🤷🏾♀️..
Excellent Peruvian chicken. Basically just like Chicken Rico if you've had that. People need to go so we keep this place open. That location has been cursed and this is great food for a great price.
A little oily, but very good. I used to live in part of northern VA that had chicken places on almost every block. El Pollo Real lives up to that in quality and reasonable price.
Awesome authentic little Peruvian joint, amazing chicken and sides in vast quantities. Has that feeling of street food. But comfort of a store on light st.
Our crew loved it! 8 kids and three adults give it 5 stars hands down. Not too pricey. Very authentic and fresh.
This place is the real deal in fed. They have good food and even better service. The corner store where they are located has to be cursed cause the last place there got shut down. I always hit this place up after the gym they give you a good amount of roasted chicken and rice and beans for around 8$. Please visit this place they deff need the customers.
