Dianne is the perfect bartender who always has the perfect drinks and attitude to welcome new coming and returners. I appreciate her recommendations and services. Happy to be a 2nd time customer.
We went for restaurant week and it did not disappoint! They had a special that allowed each of us to try an appetizer and an entree at an affordable price. The homemade candy bar was delicious, I highly recommend trying it if you like something sweet! We left full & happy!
I came here with a buddy for lunch. The place was surprisingly uncrowded. Peaceful atmosphere. Our server Sarah was kind and good care to tell us about other options during happy hour. The food was great less 1 Stat for the french onion soup ot took longer than all the other food and was awful when it arrived. The good points was my octopus was cooked to perfection and well paired with chick peas...what an unlikely but refreshing combination. My buddy said the salmon was also well prepared.
Blue Hill Tavern is a cute, trendy, upscale dining experience - that is still reasonably priced. The complimentary valet service is always a plus. I prefer to make reservations everywhere nowadays, but walk-in customers are also welcome. Servers are great. The kitchen closes for orders around 8:30pm, so I wouldn’t make this a late stop. There is also a full bar. This visit I enjoyed a Watermelon Basil Mule, which was delicious if you’re into mint/herb infused beverages. For dinner, I enjoyed the Grilled Octopus and Ny Strip, which was cooked to my Medium Well liking with perfection. I very rarely eat any sweets or desserts, but I actually loved the Mousse because it wasn’t too sweet. Thumbs up.
This a beautiful restaurant. I paid a visit to this place with a group of friends. The food and presentation was great, but, the service was not so much. Our host was nice and seated us promptly. However, I must say that our server kinda gave us mix feelings about the restaurant. Our server was not very friendly and little short with some of us. Sensing this, we tried our best to be nice to our server just in case something horrible happened prior to our arrival. I know this was not necessary but we really wanted to enjoy our experience at restaurant. Apart from this mishap, the food was very delightful and reasonably priced. The bathrooms were tidy. The restaurant is wheelchair friendly.
Great, cozy and romantic spot. It is an elevated take on classics; we got fried cauliflower and the goat cheese bites, Nero d’avalo pizza, asparagus (not the best) and candy bar and chocolate mousse for desert. While the food is good, the atmosphere and drinks are what take this place to a next level date spot that I would recommend.
Not what I remembered, I use to frequent Blue Hill Tavern all of the time prior to Covid but this was my first time back since Covid.
Came in after work and sit at the bar I’ll Beyonce looked amazing per usual we started with a glass of wine and then proceeded to order our server was extremely kind and friendly.
I started with a chopped salad and I will say that it was just as amazing as I remember followed by the French onion soup which I know is a new addition to the menu although the presentation was amazing and it was extremely hot which I love there was no taste. I am not a person that uses salt and I asked for salt and pepper to try to flavor it I was so disappointed.
My friend had the pizza what she said was good as well as the chop salad, i’ll definitely come back but I was just super disappointed in a soup and I’ll try something different the next time I come back.
The specialty cocktail was also really good.
This is probably my wife's favorite restaurant! They always have something delightful on the menu. She usually gets the surf & turf. I might do the same or the rack of lamb. Both are always tasty and satisfying!
Blue Tavern Hill is worth a visit and a write-up. With every course, I got a sense of their mission and their kitchen skill level, from the rich tasting duck confit and light well-made gnocchi, to the to-die-for Mushroom Wellington that was the highlight of the evening and made for some gastronomic reveries, and to the Apple Tart that was something not out of the regular block. Aside from some minor missteps in a couple of the above dishes, this place is worth the trip to Baltimore, a city that keeps surprising me with its good food. And to savor 3 courses for around $40, I will be making more trips northward, especially for that heavenly Mushroom Wellington.
Went for Thanksgiving and had a great time. It was a 2 course menu and I had the duck confit and swordfish (pictured). We also has the burger and while it wasn't medium rare as requested, it was still very tasty. For dessert, I had their "candy bar" which did not disappoint. I would recommend this place to anyone in the area.
