Hy-vee Market Grille

I do not like the change they did with this place. It was so nice as a restaurant and now it's just confusing. They gave me 2 tiny butter packets for two big pancakes. Understandably it was not enough. I had to go back to the side were you order and wait forever for the people who were paying so I could ask for more butter and syrup. They then gave me two more packets and one more of syrup. At this point most of my food was cold. The scramble eggs were tasteless and the bacon burnt. Not a good experience overall

Placed an order for pickup at 11:40. Kids cheese burger with cottage cheese. Kids Mac and cheese with fries. Two M&ms cookies. Was told it would be ready at 12. Walked in at 12:06. Wasn't ready or even started. Employee didn't offer an apology or anything while it got started. Order got finished and was handed to me. I had to run out as I was on a schedule and running a little behind due to the food not being done. SHOULD HAVE CHECKED THE FOOD BEFORE I LEFT. There were no fries. I will never again place an order for pickup in Austin, Mn. Experience was incredibly awful

Our family used to love this place before Hy-Vee changed it to a market grille express.. the service prior to the switch was okay, took way too long to get beverages though.. not sure about the service now, haven't gone back since they changed the format of the restaurant. I do see the place is empty a vast majority of the time since the switch so I guess that speaks for itself.

This used to be such a great place, I know HyVee invested a lot of money into it. There is not any waitstaff anymore, it is run like a cafeteria. If you want something you need to go ask for it at the counter. The water was room temperature and they didn't have ice. This was my favorite restaurant, but now it doesn't even come close.
