Summer Moon is by far my favorite coffee shop to visit. The coffee is very tasty, the baristas are super friendly and the management works extra hard to ensure all customers are taken care of. They also listen to suggestions and have reinvested in the space by adding comfy lounge chairs and more space inside to work.
If you go early in the morning it can be busy (like every coffee shop) and it tends to have more people stopping and meeting than most coffee shops.
Its a joyful and happy ambiance that I highly recommend.
There is a barista there, I think her name is Lee. I see her a few times a week in the mornings. She’s always nice and personable. She’s recently been exploring her artistic side with amazing foam art. Kudos on her snowman. This location in my opinion is the best in Austin.
Super cute coffee shop! I love their 1/4 moon latte. Their gluten-free dairy free lemon poppyseed loaf was great.
I'm sure the staff gets tired of explaining their moon milk options which are a welcome difference from a standard coffee shop. I hope they keep doing so because these are the types of places that keep the food and beverage scene in Austin so interesting and enjoyable. If you're going for the first time, shoot for the moon and don't order your standard coffee drink.
I am sad that I took so long to visit a summermoon in Austin after living here for a year - blame it on my being from Seattle and Starbucks. I can clearly see why summermoon is the the best and most preferred coffee joint in Austin. Their secretive moon milk is to die for and the latter made out of it - the summer moon is out of the world, turned me into a junkie. There are various locations all over Austin but this location is their newest I suppose. This location is very clean and well maintained, great baristas a s cashiers. I'll definitely go back ofcourse. They have got some bakery items and sandwiches but not a big supply. What they have in abundance is various types of espresso and coffee. Nice spots for working quietly all around the store. Not usually too busy - I went here on a weekend.
Summer Moon's Whisper Moon latte: creamy perfection with a hint of sweetness that enhances the coffee's natural flavor. Smooth, bold, and oh-so-satisfying.
Definitely the most unique espresso ever, though sometimes tastes a little burnt which may just be the wood. The moon milk is also very unique, and tastes amazing. The blue moon and quarter moon are both perfect. They also have very creamy chai lattes, and the best matcha I have ever had. I have still not found a store that compares to Summer Moons matcha moon. Always space to work, and a convenient drive through. Food is pretty decent, but nothing insane. Overall very good and convenient due to the surplus of locations and drive through, but as a chain it just can’t compete with some smaller coffee shops.
First visit to Summer Moon Coffee Bar. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff. I got the Moonraker on the rocks - 4 shots of espresso with 4 oz of Moon Milk, poured over ice. Great flavor, not overly sweet. Fast service.
Today I had my first Moon Glacier, mocha, and added 2 espresso shots. OMG I can’t even begin to say how much better this was compared to a Starbucks Mocha Frappuccino! Sooo much better, you can just taste the quality and it’s so flavorful. I did t know Moon Glaciers didn’t have caffeine and I was so appreciative of the barista asking me if I wanted espresso added!! They told me it would be a bit sweet but I asked to have it not too sweet and assuming the espresso helped. 🤷♀️ it was perfect and even better than perfect. One of the blended iced drinks I’ve EVER had!
I finished the drink before I got home!! Highly recommend trying these, if you haven’t already. 👏🏻🙌🏻
We were recommended this place by an Oasis employee, haha she said “it’s the best coffee place to go.” They have many options, I got an iced mocha and it was good but a bit sweet for me. Seats were very comfy and the environment was nice!
