So I've only come here for Happy Hour, but the Happy Hour here definitely lives up to its reputation as one of Austin's best. Half off prices on all the American Tapas, and drink specials throughout the menu! The Tapas are massive, and one to two of them is definitely enough for a meal. You really can't go wrong with the Chipotle Mac & Cheese. I also recommend the Calamari, the Chicken Tenders, crab cakes and the carpaccio. A great place to go at the end of the work day!

219 has one of the best happy hours! They have happy hour from 5 - 9 on weekdays and until 8 on the weekends. During happy hour the have half price appetizers and good drink specials. The menu has food paired with drink recommendations. Some of our (my husband and I) favorites are the tilapia nachos, grilled asparagus with lump crab, mini burgers, and calamari. We try to try new appetizers every time we go, and have never been disappointed. Great happy hour, good food, and fun atmosphere!

I have been going to 219 West for about four years now. I love this place! I usually always come for happy hour which is a great deal. All of their appetizers are half off plus they have great drink specials (beer & cocktails). Don't be fooled, their appetizers are huge portions and enough for a meal. I love this place because I think the service is great. Every time the server has always been cheerful, helpful and quick. I also threw a birthday party here for 18 people and the service was great and the manager checked in with us. I highly recommend this place for happy hour, lunch or dinner!

This is hands down my favorite place for happy hour downtown. All of their menu items are great (skip the Chipotle Mac n Cheese if you don't REALLY like spicy - it's a little too hot even for me), and the drinks are mostly $5 (including delicious martinis with a sidecar that you can easily get three pours out of). I think they have happy hour every day, and almost all day on Saturdays. The sliders are out of this world - try the caprese sliders! We can't go without getting them.

Perhaps the most hilariously awesome happy hour special happens as 219 West... American tapas. Allow me to explain--American tapas are, in theory, a made-up term for small plates. 219 West small plates are not small... at all. They are dinner plates. Do not make the mistake of ordering several "small" plates to share. Do, however, get a little adventurous--the happy hour plates are half-off! The tilapia nachos sound a little strange, but are very tasty (when have you gone wrong with fish... and chips?). I also love the slider sampler plate. It comes with 6 different types of burgers and is the perfect size for sharing with another person (no, really--I like to eat and hate to share, and 3 sliders were juuuust right). If you get a little overwhelmed by the menu, the servers are happy to offer up suggestions (and they haven't steered me wrong yet). Good food, good beer list, nice ambiance, excellent happy hour specials--what more do you need?
