I have been here twice now and both were terrible experiences. Walked in one evening and the were completely out of bread. I guess they had forgotten to make some at the appropriate time and then ran our while new bread was baking. The second time I went in, I was technically first in line, then somehow ended up in the back. They never even acknowledged I was there so other people started ordering, and they actually started a sandwich for the people behind us. I just walked out and drove to the one off of Parmer by the H.E.B. Way better service there.

I stopped in to this subway today and ordered my usual - a Footlong Cold cut Trio, with Double-meat. I come in usually 2-3 times a week. The guy making my sandwich seemed alright at first - hadn't seen him before, but they seem to have a lot of turnover at this location (among other problems, the Credit Card reader seems to go down here fairly often, forcing customers to pay in cash). He put the first layer of meat on, then he grabbed the next roll of cold cuts - and I noticed this had been cut in half for a 6-inch sub. He paused for a moment, then seemed to decide he wasn't going to change it and asked what cheese I wanted. I pointed out that he had only put a 6-inch portion on and that it wasn't really "double meat." He told me that this was the proper procedure - I countered that I had never heard this before and had had double-meat subs dozens of times. He then told me he was a manager, and said that anyone who had put 2 footlong rolls on the sub was making a mistake and shouldn't have done that. He then asked again rather snappishly what cheese I wanted. I told him and he continued to finish the sandwich while I scanned the menu overhead to see if any changes had been made to the double-meat price or any asterisks had been added to say only an extra 6-inch portion would be added even to footlongs. I did not see any changes, but I did note that on the extras menu, there are 2 prices - 1.50 for a 6-inch, 3.00 for a footlong.
As he helped the other employee there ring up the order, I noticed he had charged the 3-dollar upcharge. I then told him that he had double-charged me for the extra meat. I reminded him that he had only added the 6-inch portion to my sandwich, and again, he said he was a manager and "that's the way it is." I asked since when, and he again snappishly replied "Since always." At that point I told him that made no sense and pointed out the menu over his head which showed the 2 prices for extra meat, and asked why there would be 2 prices for extra meat listed if there was only ever one price and one amount to put on all sandwiches. He did not reply, he just turned back to me and again said "That's the way it is."
To this I replied "Look, man, I'm not going to pay for something I didn't get." he then pulled the sandwich off the counter and said "Well, you don't have to pay for it then." I gave him a second chance and repeated that I just wanted to be charged fairly and didn't want to pay for items I didn't recieve - his response was the same, "Well, you don't have to pay for it then."
I said "Fine." and walked out.
Just wanted to let you know that this guy made a mistake, refused to correct it when pointed out, and then tried to double-charge me out of spite.

Wellllll, she's gone. If you Googled this place and had a hard time finding it, it's because it's no longer in business. I got a sandwich from this place once and the toaster oven didn't work that day. Probably hadnt worked in a while and the location looked a little raggedy but I was already in the store so I was locked in. I hate walking out of food places unless it's visibly atrocious but on this day, it didn't look THAT terrible and I was slightly hungover so I ordered my sandwich and moved on with my life. The reason I know it's closed now is because I was going to order a sandwich yesterday and couldn't find it. I thought hold on now, I KNOW it's in this plaza and not across the street at the party city plaza . Sure enough, I looked at the map again and it's closed. RIP Subway of the Howard and 35 plaza..

Jared likes it and so do I. Unfortunately today my sandwich artist thought the market price of jalepeno's had surpassed that of gold placed them on the sandwich accordingly. Even with a request for additional peppers I felt short changed. Other than that it was a typical subway experience, not overwhelming, not underwhelming.
