First stop on my way home after 19 days in the hospital. The Louann plate was the perfect portions for my new diet plan and all the nutritional value was readily accessible, making it so wonderfully easy to decide on my food. Every employee I encountered from the line server on up was kind and considerate.....
Food is on point like always, and the wait staff is even better!
OMG, they had Salmon patties. Visiting from Corpus Christi and the Luby's there haven't had them in a long time. Got it on a Lu-Ann platter, it was great! Thanks!

November 2023:
Back at Luby’s to enjoy another the LuAnn Platter Turkey and Stuffing with Mashed Potatoes and Mac & Cheese. They were already preparing for the massive turkey meal orders for Thanksgiving with looks of stacked and wall of boxes.
The turkey tasted good and where even though a little dry the gravy sauce complimented it very well. The staff is very nice and friendly making us feel welcomed. The place was also very clean too. Overall enjoyed my early thanksgiving meal and like always a great place to bring your parents to.
February 2023:
I am just so glad Luby’s Cafeteria is still open where still remember eating at a Luby’s since I was a child. I enjoyed my favorite item the LuAnn Luby’s Fried Fish and got Mexican Rice and Macaroni & Cheese as sides. The LuAnn version is half a fish but still get the full sized side amounts. The breading fish is very tasty and has great flavor with the soft fish inside.
The service and atmosphere is excellent, and the cafeteria is always perfectly clean.
Let's be real for all you luby's lovers from the 80s of which I am one. The food and recipes are still the same and the food is still very good. Just be prepared for the meals being pricier than you remember with smaller side portions. Its not really senior citizen fixed income friendly. However, the fried fish and macaroni and cheese is best so its worth the price to me.

I was skeptical, but this was absolutely delicious... fresh and full of flavor! Wish I could have ordered one of everything... will definitely come back next time I visit.
My son and I came here on Thanksgiving Day. The food was great and honestly we didn't even wait in line that long, being that it was a holiday and they were busy. The employee's were so nice and friendly as we went thru the line. Overall a nice experience and good dinner.

They came to the table to make sure everything was okay with reasonable frequency. I needed some sauces and they kept going back to the kitchen until I get satisfied with what I wanted.
We stayed later than the closing time. They never told us about time and kept waiting till we finishes our meal and conversation. (We should've left earlier, I'm feeling sorry) They sent us off with big smiles.
And of course, needless to say, foods were great as usual😋😋 Their customer services made it even tastier. I love this Luby's so much!
This place is awesome!!! I love the food, the service and cleanliness. The wonderful workers take pride in their work. Coming from Abilene, I’m glad I stopped by this Luby’s in Austin. I’ve been to numerous Luby’s throughout Texas, this one has to be the best far. Thank you!! 10/10
I ordered Luby's for our resident Christmas party and omg everything was perfect from the time I ordered it. Carlos the manager called to confirm exactly how I wanted my order cold or hot. Then when I picked up the order the entire staff was so sweet from the minute I walked in. They helped me load in into my van. They forgot my tea but the manager Carlos was the best and had his staff deliver. Rebecca is so sweet. She has the BEST customer service! THANK YOU LUBY's STAFF YOU ALL ARE THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We love Lubys. We traveled 40 miles to eat at this location. Great selection of home cooked items. As always, I highly recommend.
Lianna, Rodrick, & Matt…..Sometimes a person goes out to eat, alone, in hopes of finding a little bit of love in food. Sometimes a person is alone and food is the only place they can escape to that feeling of home.
Tonight I came to Lubbys cafeteria, as a kid my family would eat there after church. Then go home and nap. It was the happiest time of my life.
I want the three of you to know how much your love came through tonight. It was the best food and dinner I’ve had in a long time.
I’m sorry to end this on a negative review but I have to mention Denise… She was rude and I’m search of some kind of “Ugly power trip” she tried her best to be ugly to me but the love from Matt, Lianna and Rodrick, like they say, love overcomes all.
