If you like cookies these are the very best ever. My favorite cookie in the world are lemon cookies, I am a lemon cookie snob and Paper Route Bakery makes the best lemon cookies I have ever eaten!
AMAZING! These are absolutely the best cupcakes and with service that you won't find anywhere else! Aaron (founder, creator, and head baker) has brought to the Austin area a creative, beautiful, and oh so delicious menu of yummy baked goods that you just won't find anywhere else! I would love to tell you which one of the four that we ordered that I liked best, but I simply can't decide! We chose Paper Route Bakery for the majority of the dessert table (seriously wish we had let him do it all) for the rehearsal dinner for my son's wedding and it was undoubtedly the hit of the evening. The lemon with blackberry buttercream were such a hit, and the vanilla with strawberry balsamic buttercream was just sublime! If you're planning anything and need something fun and wonderfully special to satisfy that sweet tooth, look no further!
The pistachio oasis is perfection. Easily one of the best cakes I ever had. We wanted a cake for our micro-wedding that our guests would love. We got several slices to try from Paper Route Bakery and from the first bite of pistachio oasis, my husband (who is not a dessert person) and I were sold! Not only was the cake delectable, but it was a perfectly cute presentation with our name and wedding date on it. The decoration is simple and classic, which fit our wedding aesthetic. Everyone was raving about how wonderful the cake tasted bc it’s not overly sweet but has a beautiful flavor. Make sure to get extra because we were so happy to have enough to eat for the next couple days after the wedding.
Some of the best cake I’ve ever had. I got the chocolate cake and it was so delicious! I can tell that they really put thought and care into making their cakes. It was so moist. The filling is tasty and the frosting is so creamy. At the same time, it had the right amount of decadence. The staff is so welcoming and kind as well. They even gave a sample of their strawberry cake and it was also just as delicious! A wonderful place for a dessert fix. Parking was a bit difficult but only because I came on a Sunday morning and it is right next to a church and a busy lunch rush at Cenote. Worth the visit for sure though!
The cakes here are really moist and not too sweet. I love how every cake has a lot of complex flavors that make each one unique. I've tried almost the whole menu, and the lemon kiss and pistachio oasis are my favorites. I didn't really care for the raspberry carlisle or strawberry book club.
The best scones we’ve ever had! Seriously they were amazing. Very large, with a lot of ingredients in each one. Awesome selection of flavors. The cookies and bars were good too! They graciously gave us several additional items to sample.
Brilliantly made goods and the kindest, talented person is making them! We met Aaron on our stop to his bakery and his passion for his work is so evident! His creations are super yummy and crafted so well! We will definitely be back! The scones and cakes we got were AMAZING! His icings, custards, and fillings are so balanced and delicious.
I HIGHLY recommend this bakery. The location is adorable, and the owner was amazing from start to finish. My birthday cake(the Vanilla Au Revoir) was exactly how I imagined, and tasted great! It was seriously one of the best cakes we've ever had, and you can tell how passionate he is about his work. We will 100% be visiting again if in the Austin area
We got the Chocolate Fainting Couch cake from Aaron at Paper Route Bakery. Y'all. It's the gentle warmth from a fireplace during winter. It's a smooth first date in springtime. It's flavorful and fluffy without having the sickly sweetness of a grocery store cake. It manages to be delicious without being overpowering - so in a word, elegant. It's rich without flaunting its money. And I've gotta say, interacting with Aaron was such a pleasure. He's got a clear passion for the cakes and is wonderful to speak with. Go try a slice from em today!
Hands down the best cake I have ever had. A little on the pricey side but SO worth it!! We ordered the chocolate, coffee, and strawberry and each one was incredible.
I showed up late in the day when many of the scone options were sold out and the baker was so thoughtful and accommodating despite that.
I would easily recommend this bakery for their wonderful sweet and savory options as well as the delightful service. A+ icing, great parmesan scone. Would definitely come back and bring friends
How are there only 216 reviews for this place?! We came to Paper Route towards the end of the day and there were only two cake flavours left: Raspberry Carlisle and Banana Pantsuit. WOW, they were both amazing!!! Super moist cake, delicious filling, and perfectly made frosting that wasn't too sweet. If you're not a fan of cake, I strongly recommend you go just to meet a genuinely nice human. We didn't get his name, but the cake guy was so incredibly kind. Not only did he give us samples, but he gave us a discount because he felt the cake slices were small! Thank you so much, cake guy! If we ever return to Austin we'll definitely be back!
