This was a delicious pizza with delightful apps. My only complaint it the ricotta was a little thin for my taste. The crust was soft but had some chips spots it was perfect. Wish we lived in Austin I would to come more often.

I’m usually a New York style pizza kinda girl. I used to love Chicago style pizza growing up; Uno was my favorite spot on the West Coast. I can’t say that I’ve ever personally had a Detroit style pizza so today was a first for me. Via 313 East in Austin is where we headed today. They are situated in old downtown Sixth street and have a nice outdoor area with lots of bench seating. Their parking is a lil cramped, but for a downtown spot to HAVE parking at all is a plus. Really nice staff too! As soon as you walk in you are greeted by whatever wait staff happens to be available at that moment. As you look around you get a kind of a warehouse vibe. Everybody’s really casual. There is a bar off to the side; not sure if there is more or larger party seating in the back? I didn’t really explore but I DID use the facilities which are very clean. And, they do also have additional waiting bench in the bar/bathroom vicinity. They have a wide variety of pies. And they have a limited number of appetizers and salads too. today we tried the goat cheese and artichoke dip as our app. It was served with kind of a French roll crouton which is very thinly sliced and toasted. Super good! The goat cheese is slightly salty and has a very country-milky taste but mild at the same time. I grew up eating goat cheese and am lactose intolerant but since this is cultured it’s very nice on the tummy as it’s a very mild cheese and goats milk is better for us than cow milk. There’s lots of marinara which I really like. It really melds with the goat cheese and is spiced beautifully. The addition of basil juliennes only add to the sauce’s delicious bite. The artichokes are fresh and very meaty; it all comes together w the crunch of the croutons, I honestly ate too much at that point!! But with the pizza still to come; we had to stay strong!!! The daughter tried their square pepperoni pizza, which upon arrival I thought I was going to hafta “politely speak with somebody about missing pepperoni“ When in fact the pepperoni was comfortably situated underneath all the melty cheese. L O L They put a nice double row of marinara sauce on top of their pies to make it look not like your conventional pepperoni pie. Very aesthetically pleasing. Again, the sauce is nicely spiced; very tomatoey, with a good amount of oregano and basil. Their mozzarella is very fresh and very mild but still super flavorful (I LOVE a good Mozzarella!!), they use the large pepperonis on the inside which is interesting. My pie was the Omnivore. It’s a supreme type pizza w veggies included and normally has pepperoni and sausage which I took off because I don’t like sausage on my pizza and added pepperoncinis. It was excellent! They use the small pepperonis on the outside of This pie which are allowed to crisp up - I love that!! You can’t get those large pepperonis crisp like that. The pepperoncinis were very salty sweet, imparting a great flavor to the veggies and cheese. I also loved the crispy crunchy baked cheese around the edges of the pie. Super delicious!! I don’t know if this is the signature of a Detroit style pizza but it was really worked; reminiscent of cheesy bread. Also Their crust is also super light and airy/bubbly which I really like! You get all of your textures workin. An excellent pie I gotta say!!! Via 313 pizza did an excellent job all around! I highly suggest you check them out next time you are in the area!!

LOVED this spot! The pizza is very good! There's an option of Detroit style which had a nice pan crust that wasn't too thick; it was crispy and chewy. The other option is Bar style which is thin crust. Both pizzas were large enough for 2 people to share. There's lots of topping combos to choose from, or you can build your own perfect combo. You can even do half and half if you can't decide. I highly recommend the smoked pepperoni with hot honey... such a fun and unique taste. The appetizers were also great! We tried the meatballs and roasted artichokes. Both very very good. Cocktails were quite tasty as well. We got a few from their seasonal menu. All in all, wonderful dining experience!!!

Some of the best Detroit style pizza I've had. The crust edges are crispy and the sauce is amazing. The parking isn't great at the 6th Street location but that's anything near downtown Austin.

A very welcoming place and delicious Hawaiian pizza! Also, the 4 square pizza is great for 1-2 people. My husband ordered the 8 square Meat Lovers pizza and let's just say we seriously had leftovers. So, next time we are going to both order the 4 square.

I had my first VIA313 pie here from the Round Rock location. It did not disappoint. I prefer my sauce on the LESS sweet side but this sauce is very tasty, I needed the acidity to cut through the greasy-ness, which was so delicious. The sausage was surprisingly SPICY and the meats tasted of high quality. The prices were a bit high ($30 +tax for the Large Carnivore) so, I really can’t see myself coming around too often but, then again, ALL RESTAURANTS are raising their prices, so... I do prefer Home Slice, Mandola’s Italian Kitchen and Tony C’s pizza’s. I bought a pizza on my lunch hour and shared it with my co-workers. They said it was good, but not great. I would highly recommend anyone that likes good pizza to check this place out. It will be worth your time. Btw…by the pics the pizza was more of a rectangle and not square nor round.

This was really decent Detroit style pizza. They e got some beers from across the street from Zilker Brewing and other local beers. Their pizza is pan pizza and comes with a delicious cheese crusted pizza. I got the large carnivore pizza and it was enough for 2 men instead of 3-4 like the menu said. Update v Still a great place to eat! And if you're lucky enough to have Zoey as your waitress you'll have a great time. She'll take good care of you even if your choice of beer is all sold out. 😆

I was pretty impressed with this pizza. We got the bar style 12 inch round, half spinach artichoke, half chicken bacon ranch. We were stuck choosing between the two, and our waitress was very helpful and told us we could do half each flavor. I personally loved the veggie side, but my husband preferred the chicken bacon side, but felt there was a bit too much ranch. I agreed, but the heavy flavors and textures of the chicken bacon ranch side went well with the lighter, more acidic veggie side. We sat outside, and the service was good. They had water spritzers going to fight the heat and turned them off when the sun went down so it remained comfortable. Great place.

My favorite pizza in all of Austin! I had the bar style and it was unbelievable. We had a huge group of 12 show up with no reservation. We had no expectations of getting sat together or right away but they staff was very attentive and was able to get us seated together and even offered to pull another table together after we had all squeezed in. Jake and Maddison had to be the best servers and customer service professionals I have come across! Very patient and friendly and made the overall experience that much better. Can’t recommend enough!
