Portobello Brazilian Grill

I regret coming here because after my meal I was told they are changing locations on the 19th. I found the one good place near my job and they are leaving me and I won't be able to come during my lunch anymore. Anyway, I had the Brazilian Steak and Fries. It was excellent and very flavourful. I guess I am getting on the Portobello diet for the next 19 days.

Portobello Mediterranean was a delight. The service was excellent, and the food was superb. The meat for the gyro platter melted in our mouths. The salad was generously filled with very fresh cucumbers, tomatoes, and lettuce, topped with a saucy oil and vinaigrette. The cheese baklava was the perfect finish to a delicious meal. We regret that we are tourists just passing through Austin. This restaurant would be a weekly stop if we lived here.

Absolutely fantastic! So glad we found such a great Mediterranean place so close. The hummus is some of the best I've ever had. Fresh made and delicious. Definitely get it with the garlic and tomato. My wife love the kibbeh and falafel. We had the chicken Shawarma and beef Koftah. Both excellent. And very reasonably priced. This is definitely on our regular rotation now. We'll have to try the Brazilian side of the menu next time.

It was election day. I was bored and driving around. Saw this place and went in. I tried their chicken Shwarma. They made it fresh and you could tell! It tasted amazing! Piping hot boneless chicken with some pickles and a generous squeeze of lemon juice (I love lemons). It came with fries and a dip under 10 bucks. Not bad at all. The partners are the sweetest people in the world. They make all of the things in-house. Next time I am going to try their specials on Sundays. Fish cooked in coconut oil. Oh yeah definitely recommend this place!

I love Mediterranean food, and this place serves delicious, fresh, healthy food. The value and the portions are incredible. You can bring your own wine, so that is also a big savings (sorry, restaurateurs, but I hate to pay $11 a glass for a wine I can buy at Costco for $10...which yields 4 glasses). It is an undiscovered jewel on Wells Branch Parkway, just a few blocks east of Mopac.

Great Mediterranean food, definitely the best in Austin. The Brazilian food was great too. Service was good, courteous, and fast. This place has the most authentic and delicious hummus and falafel. Everything tastes fresh and tasted like it was made in the restaurant unlike other Mediterranean restaurants in the city that use pre-packaged and canned products.

If you haven't been to Portobello's recently you need to! Its a totally new restaurant with a lot of authentic Mediterranean food on the menu. I lived in Egypt with a local family for a month once and this food took me right back. The prices were very reasonable and the portions very generous. For $30 our family of four got two meals worth of food. It made great takeout. Jack (the owner) and Sam (the chef) were very friendly. We'll definitely be going back often.

I had lunch there today with my mom and niece. We had empanadas, fried polenta appetizers and they were very good. We also ordered the steak kabob and chicken kabob and steak and peppers plate. Everything was well seasoned and tasted very good. My only criticism was the steak was really tough....They need to tenderize it. Other than that a very pleasant lunch.

The food here is really good, not to mention healthy! It's literally down the street from my place. I'm glad I gave it a try, service was awesome, the waitress explained everything to us, plus gave my boyfriend a veteran's discount (and my daughter free dessert!)for it being our first time. I will definitely be back.
