As a big fan of P. Terrys I was excited to try this place. While I have no complaints I will say it’s suspiciously inexpensive. $2 for a breakfast taco and $4 for a burrito? Did I go into a time warp to 1994? When the food comes out it’s even more baffling because the quality is excellent and the homemade sauce are super flavorful. I don’t know what kind of business model they have serving food this underpriced but I’m into it and hope they open 100 locations!
If you've ever been to PTerrys and wished they served tacos, well you're in luck! It tastes just as good as it sounds, fresh food, simple menu with great options. Friendly staff, clean dining room and restrooms. Quick service and good pricing. I like the choices on the soda machine too, Hawaiian punch, I haven't seen that in forever. The salsas are tasty, I really enjoyed the fire roasted one. The Mexitots with Queso are a great snack/side. Only one location of 290/71/Mopac. If you're coming up Mopac North it'll be on your right, it's actually easier to get to their parking by turning onto 290/71 first then coming in. Drive through options, inside dining and an outdoor patio. Definitely worth a try, hoping they put another location in Southeast Austin... Mckinney falls and William Cannon perhaps...🤞😄🤞
I finally got the chance to stop by and check out this place and I really enjoyed it! I tried a chicken taco and chicken tostada with some chips (salsa & queso) along with a limeade. Everything was fresh and tasty. Nice pieces of chicken with great vegetables. The guy working there (Matt) was also awesome as he was constantly checking what was out of stock, cleaning the area, and making sure customers had everything they needed. I've attached some pictures. Pricing was also really great! Everything I got ended up being around $12 which was enough to feed 2. Will definitely be back! Don't expect this to be like a more traditional tex-mex place because it's not. Old review: I like the design of the place. Unfortunately they closed it down for some sort of training right at peak hour so... I’ll have to try the food some other time. Just don’t go around opening day as it might be closed or there might be lots of mistakes.
