Food was good, but the outdoor seating was spectacular even for Texas in mid-December. I would highly recommend the fish tacos and tres leches cake was one of the best I had eaten recently. Service is always prompt, respectful and willing to accommodate any request. Always a dope spot because of the location and lake view.

I can not RAVE about this place enough!!! Shelley was PHENOMENAL!!!!!! The food and atmosphere were DEVINE! We got the Hawaiian bbq pulled pork sandwich, the stuffed avocado plate, and the key lime pie. Everything was flavorful and creative. It was neat to watch them make fresh tortillas. Highly highly recommended this place.

hula hut is a great option for a fun and delicious meal on the river. the seating options are great and give you a fun experience as you look out on the water. the food was very tasty with generous portions. with all that being said, the atmosphere gets doused a little with how crazy busy it is and just how packed in we felt. also our server had to tell multiple people to see the hosts for seating which got old. would go again, just maybe when it isn’t so busy or in a less congested seating area.

It was the perfect spot to get away for lunch on our anniversary weekend. We hadn't been in Austin in a very long time and Hula Hut did not disappoint. Beautiful view of the lake. We got to see turtles and coots and fishermen. Food was good. Too much for the two of us to eat. The pu pu platter said feeds 2 to 4 people, it would have been ideal for 3.

Great food on the lake with a resort like atmosphere. We had the coconut shrimp. Chips and cheese dip queso. Fried stuffed Avocado a long with a delicious Bloody Mary. I like to bring friends, family and clients to relax and enjoy the sunset on the lake.

Visiting from nearby city. The lake at night felt just like being oceanfront. We opted to sit our party outside. Near the bar there is self seating and we were able to pull up 10 chairs. Our waitress was quick and pleasant. Our crowd favorites were fried fish sandwich and shiner steak fajitas. Will definitely return.

Hula Hut is a very enjoyable eclectic restaurant. Food has a non-traditional Mexican flavor, with incredible homemade tortillas. It is fun to look at the decorations and the river directly adjacent to the restaurant. The only downside is that the shortage of parking in front of the restaurant may require you to park across the street...not a biggy!

You go there for the atmosphere. The food is good, but the drinks are better. Right on the water. Fun place.
