Horrible place to go to. Sucks. Stay away. Crowds everywhere....
Ok! Hopefully that scares some people away from this freaking awesome location with excellent service. So it too doesn't get overcrowded and ruined. I love that all the staff assist everyone. No assigned waiter/waitress means all staff help everyone and reduces the waiting. Food ordered from a counter and delivered by runners make it easier for the staff and patrons. Every person has their own tab making it a perfect place for group gatherings! Love the breeze, the ambiance and all the TVs!
I've tried the tuna tacos (amazing), the beef and chicken quesadillas (also amazing), the ceviche (that the chef was kind enough to slide in yesterday) and the super amazing oysters! My friends and I ordered 3 dozen raw and one dozen broiled. Both very different but both are to die for. The raw oysters were clean and not one spec of dirt or gristle...they were served the correct and proper way which is hard to find now.
I must say....this place is killing the game right now at rock rose with their food. I am a Chef myself and the food is outstanding. They should change the name to Lavaca street KITCHEN because, with all due respect to all the staff, the kitchen and chefs are what makes this place one of my favorites in Austin.
Will def go back on my nfl sundays to have muh oysters!
This place is a really cool sports bar. I'm giving it five stars on service even though you order on your phone there was a bartender there that took great care of us. We were only ordering waters and diet Cokes and stuff like that and the guy could have been anymore on it. I really appreciate that and will definitely go back to this place.
Also if you're looking for a good place to watch sports they got a ton of TVs here So we had some pretty decent food and a million TVs to watch and from what I hear it gets pretty rowdy and there's a lot of fun during game days!
All my life I’ve been a quiet person. Upon moving to the Domain, Lavaca has become a home away from home.
As a sports fan, they have the sports. As a light drinker, they have every option. Meeting friends? We literally call it Home Base in our group chat. Need food? They’ve got pizza, burgers, wings, and many other options. The pizza is very hot and fresh by the way so give it a minute to cool down. Order another round from MacKenzie.
Speaking of the bartenders, I’ve never been to any bar with people as nice and cool as them. The people, the staff, the vibes… they’re all there. I love Lavaca and I know you will too.
A non food all out bar within the Domain Northside district. Beer options were regulation and cocktails were ok. Visited during one of the NCAA basketball games and the vibe was wonderful. The staff were professional and non intrusive. Seating can be a hard find during games and popular hours. Outdoor seating is a better option, indoors if with a larger group.
Food is always good. Service is great and food came out pretty quickly. I would have rated five stars but the shrimp Mac and cheese wasn’t as cheesy and the shrimp wasn’t really blackened. Nice pieces of shrimp in it but could have been better. All the rest was very good. The tacos, gumbo, quesadillas and tuna Tower were very good and will definitely go again. Overall good experience and we left full! 😉👌🏽
Always a fun time. Service is excellent, food while not part of the bar is mediocre at best. Price is a bit high but that's all of The Domain.
Warning: The food here is worth every penny! Beer selection was ok but I was looking for more options. How it works: You order your food on one side, get a number, then sit at the bar on the other side. Once your order is ready it's brought to you.
I had the redfish with red beans and rice. It almost felt like a mistake squeezing the lime on there, since the seasoning was so delicious! The RB& rice could've used a little salt, but a splash or 3 of Cajun chef hot sauce did the trick :) it was a little pricey, but when I got the food I understood why. Solid pick if you're a seafood fan.
Great music & hip domain atmosphere. Large patio for groups & parties. Food options prepared in a side food establishment for drink munchies & sharing. Excellent people watching location on the corner with friendly & accommodating staff. Sports Bar with excellent music vibes!
Good food, big portions, you select the meet and it can be in form of tacos, salad or Po-boy.
Wide sort of draft beer and all kinds of spirits and cocktails.
The bartender Bliss is the best you can find on rockrose! She is so kind and friendly, she made my night for my friends and I like for real!
