This place is a really cool sports bar. I'm giving it five stars on service even though you order on your phone there was a bartender there that took great care of us. We were only ordering waters and diet Cokes and stuff like that and the guy could have been anymore on it. I really appreciate that and will definitely go back to this place.
Also if you're looking for a good place to watch sports they got a ton of TVs here So we had some pretty decent food and a million TVs to watch and from what I hear it gets pretty rowdy and there's a lot of fun during game days!

All my life I’ve been a quiet person. Upon moving to the Domain, Lavaca has become a home away from home.
As a sports fan, they have the sports. As a light drinker, they have every option. Meeting friends? We literally call it Home Base in our group chat. Need food? They’ve got pizza, burgers, wings, and many other options. The pizza is very hot and fresh by the way so give it a minute to cool down. Order another round from MacKenzie.
Speaking of the bartenders, I’ve never been to any bar with people as nice and cool as them. The people, the staff, the vibes… they’re all there. I love Lavaca and I know you will too.

A non food all out bar within the Domain Northside district. Beer options were regulation and cocktails were ok. Visited during one of the NCAA basketball games and the vibe was wonderful. The staff were professional and non intrusive. Seating can be a hard find during games and popular hours. Outdoor seating is a better option, indoors if with a larger group.

Food is always good. Service is great and food came out pretty quickly. I would have rated five stars but the shrimp Mac and cheese wasn’t as cheesy and the shrimp wasn’t really blackened. Nice pieces of shrimp in it but could have been better. All the rest was very good. The tacos, gumbo, quesadillas and tuna Tower were very good and will definitely go again. Overall good experience and we left full! 😉👌🏽

Warning: The food here is worth every penny! Beer selection was ok but I was looking for more options. How it works: You order your food on one side, get a number, then sit at the bar on the other side. Once your order is ready it's brought to you.

I had the redfish with red beans and rice. It almost felt like a mistake squeezing the lime on there, since the seasoning was so delicious! The RB& rice could've used a little salt, but a splash or 3 of Cajun chef hot sauce did the trick :) it was a little pricey, but when I got the food I understood why. Solid pick if you're a seafood fan.

I visited this Sports bar with a large group of people on a Thursday night. I’m not a fan of sports bars, but the bar is in the center of the room and decorated really well for Christmas right now and the mood in here is really fun!
The Happy Hour pricing on drinks is great for The Domain - $6 glasses of wine (the Cabernet is good) and $6 cocktails (go for the marfa mule). We had the pork nachos, chicken nachos, boneless breaded chicken wings (buffalo and Asian) and ceviche. The pulled pork nachos had pineapple on them and were actually amazing! I also really liked the Asian wings although I’m not quite sure what flavor Asian means. They were a bit sweet. Wings were a little dry but I would like to go back and try the bone-in wings. The boneless wings were HUGE. The ceviche was terrible, had one bite and didn’t want more of that. The waiter called it “cevichy” and it really lacked any flavor at all and I normally love ceviche. The best thing we had were those nachos and I don’t even like nachos. I want to return to try their weekend brunch.

Based on food alone, 5 stars. I gave this place 4 stars because of service. I sat at the bar and it took a good 2 minutes for a bartender to come by.
Food is ordered at the counter. Once I ordered my food, I sat down outside but no one came by to take my drink order.

Super busy bar and restuarant. While the red beans and rice was a bit on the watery side, the chicken nachos were great! Drinks are pretty standard though. This place is more to be seen at then for cajun flare, in my opinion.

Ok! Hopefully that scares some people away from this freaking awesome location with excellent service. So it too doesn't get overcrowded and ruined. I love that all the staff assist everyone. No assigned waiter/waitress means all staff help everyone and reduces the waiting. Food ordered from a counter and delivered by runners make it easier for the staff and patrons. Every person has their own tab making it a perfect place for group gatherings! Love the breeze, the ambiance and all the TVs!

I've tried the tuna tacos (amazing), the beef and chicken quesadillas (also amazing), the ceviche (that the chef was kind enough to slide in yesterday) and the super amazing oysters! My friends and I ordered 3 dozen raw and one dozen broiled. Both very different but both are to die for. The raw oysters were clean and not one spec of dirt or gristle...they were served the correct and proper way which is hard to find now.
I must say....this place is killing the game right now at rock rose with their food. I am a Chef myself and the food is outstanding. They should change the name to Lavaca street KITCHEN because, with all due respect to all the staff, the kitchen and chefs are what makes this place one of my favorites in Austin.
Will def go back on my nfl sundays to have muh oysters!

I would not recommend this. I live within a block of this place. I had my dog with me and sat on the patio. I ordered a drink. When I inquired about ordering food. I was told I had to go to the counter around the corner but I would have to leave my dog unattended. Do not think so. If you want to order food and drinks you will have 2 transactions on your card. Really. How ridiculous. There are two separate entities the food and the drinks. Will not recommend to anyone.

Bar was pretty busy for football Sunday and the World Series. We were served at our table by the bartender but they were lacking cocktail waitresses. We continually had to leave our table to go to the bar and order our drinks. The food was mediocre at best. Portion sizes were huge, but the food was bland. The fish and chips were soggy and undercooked. Basically order drinks and don’t get the food until you are drunk and starving lol.

The 90's music playlist was the bomb!! We had the crawfish po'boys from Surf n Turf and they were delish. They are not stingy with their crawfish!!! I still had crawfish to eat after I finished my sandwich!! And the crawfish were huge!!

Bartender Scarlett is wonderful and the food has always been amazing. I love coming by here every time I'm here on Rock Rose. Would highly recommend the nachos. Service is amazing.

I wanted something simple, so I went for the fish and chips-Shiner beer battered. Not only was it tasty, but there was enough to feed my two companions! However, they went for the shrimp platters, one blackened, the other broiled. They raved about their choices. Add to that a couple beers from their amazing choice of draft craft brews, and you have three happy campers. Returning soon for some of their turf selections.

Finally a bar with decent food. The Turf and Surf on the side serves up some of the best seafood in town. I spend way too much money on their food. Comfortable setting that's perfect for sports!

Not too fond of the ordering food system but definitely not a big deal. i ordered the blackened shrimp nachos and grilled oysters.... YUMMMM! the nachos were a little on the beany side, but the shrimp were sooo good! The oysters were great as well. Glad this place has moved to the neighborhood!! Ill certainly be back, again and again!

Compliments to the chef(s).... So far, everything I've eaten has been amazing! The menu is customizable too: you pick the meat, how you want it cooked (fried, blackened or grilled) & how you want it prepared (po'boy, tacos or salad). And they ain't stingy with the portions either! Bon Appétit
