I’ve been to Baby A’s more than any other restaurant in Austin. The margaritas are definitely the main event - get the purple if you are looking for something really strong. If you are looking for something slightly less potent (although still strong), then my favorites are the Melon and the Superman. In terms of food, the stuffed avocado is probably the best thing on the menu (deep fried filled with chicken and cheese). The queso compuesto and the quesadilla are pretty solid as well.

Our company stopped in after a business meeting. I'm from Houston, but the atmosphere was on par with what I'd expect from the restaurants I frequent back home. Estefania was a great server, getting our food out to us with out any issues. I ordered the Carne Guisada (which I order everywhere) and it was delicious. I also ordered the "purple" margarita (knowing it had everclear) and it's likely the best any everclear based rita could actually taste. I also had a Mexican Candy, the drink is more my style and it was great. Both drinks were worth their weight in alcohol alone. Overall, a great experience and hope to be back.

Very helpful wait staff! The salsa and chips were refilled many times and all our food was delicious! Highly recommend to all that are looking for an authentic Mexican food spot.

I went there for dinner and there was nobody at counter first. Language is an issue and somehow the waitress didnt understand what I was asking. Took lot of time to get refill on chips. The food was below the average. Drink was good especially purple rita 😋

Let's just talk about the years we've been going. Almost 20 years been going.... some amazing chips and some of the best food. Drinks.... omg good! Not just going but taking geoups of family, girls nights, date nights. We went for lunch and couldn't order because they actually told us people left unpaid bills! Are u kidding? Get cameras, get more staff to watch, anything! Do not run a tab in order to get tea and salad! Ew. Won't be bringing my family anymore. Sad.

If you're coming from Barton springs make sure you cover or they won't let you in. I had the amores tacos. Delicious! The carnitas could've been a little more fried but they were still good. The salsa that came with it 10/10 wish it came with more than 3 little tacos but I'd definitely come back for them again. The margarita flight was basic though.

My coworker and I go to Baby A’s weekly for their tortilla soup. We are obsessed (the salsa is also always on point). We go so often we basically know the whole staff and they know us and our order- 2 tortilla soups with corn tortillas and LOTS of limes. Sometimes the server waiting on us won’t bring enough limes so we have to ask for more. Our favorite server by far has been Hilda. Hilda is super friendly, fast and always gives us the right amount of limes. Safe to say we will be back again next week!

My girlfriend and I love Baby A’s, we come here almost every week. The food and purple margs are great! Our waitress Hilda is a gem and always takes care of us. She always goes the extra mile to make sure we have a great dining experience! I strongly recommend Baby A’s for a chill dinner; or a pregame to 6th St with their purple margaritas. Cheers!

Baby A’s does not disappoint! Home of the (frozen) Purple Rita! It was just perfect. Highly recommend if you’re in the mood for delicious Mexican food. Their fast and friendly service is definitely a plus! Indoor and outdoor dining available. I’ve gone twice already and will definitely be returning as a regular!
