Easily the best chicken in town. Fried chicken is a niche that has mostly gone unfilled in Austin. Sure, there are places that have fried chicken on their menu, and a couple (Gus' and Lucy's) that focus on fried chicken, but they aren't very good. Enter T22, the chicken we needed. No contest between this stuff and anything else in town.
We went the second day they were open and the staff was still getting used to stuff. Our food took a while so the manager came over and offered us free pie slices. I get it, it's the first week, I wasn't expecting super fast service, but it was really nice of them to give us free delicious pie, and show that they were aware of the long ticket time. Even with the longer wait, the chicken was worth it! I'm looking forward to coming back here! Their happy hour looks good, too!
Excellent food and service. I ordered the coke which was a fountain Mexican Coke. It had a different taste and our waiter Ian was more than happy to exchange it for a lemonade. I’m glad I did because it was so good. We ordered the pecan chocolate pie and it was so good too. I highly recommend T22 Chicken to anyone.
Highly recommend for some good chicken. It’s so cheap and the happy hour from 4-6pm every day even makes it cheaper. It blew my mind for the sandwich and a side for $5, the drinks are also $5. The margarita was very strong 😍
No reservations needed, you seat yourself when walking in. The server was very friendly and kept checking in. He even gave us different sauces to try. Will definitely come back.
Good food.
Hot chicken is great, sandwich is good too.
Dessert the milk butter pie is good.
Friendly patient staff.
Packed during lunch/dinner time, better order upfront for takeout for sure.
Can’t believe I haven’t write my review here. This is by far my favorite food! Chicken bites, wings and the pies! This has become my family’s stable now, who cares about cholesterol when you feel absolutely satisfied physically and mentally. Too bad this location doesn’t have coconut pies.
Came in for a late lunch and there was no wait and plenty of seatings. Our server was very friendly and attentive. For the chicken, you can choose from 5 different spice levels with the first one being "wimpy" and next one is hot. We got the hot and it was flavorful but couldn't really taste the spiciness so next time I'm going to try the one after hot. The 1/4 white meat was very tender and moist. Mac and cheese is very addicting.
Love the spicy chicken! The OG sandwich is awesome! The southern is a bit too heavy for me. The sides are great as well.
Be careful with the spice level. Don't overestimate yourself 🔥
An explosion of flavor in your mouth. This is the best chicken sandwich I’ve ever had! Mac n cheese was great as well. Even the pickles are amazing. Service was perfection. 6 out of 5 stars.
The restaurant has plenty of seating inside and outside. The chicken is crispy and flavorful. If you choose a spicy level for your chicken, it is dipped in the spicy level sauce. In my experience it caused my chicken to be a bit oily. I just do without the spicy level now. My favorite item is the dirty Mac and cheese and the potato salad!
This is our first time here at this location. We've been to the one in Round Rock and Cedar Park. The wait was not long to get in. The place was packed. We ordered drinks. I had the Dirty Harry and Will had the Big Larry. He had the salad. I had the 2 piece white with mac and cheese and collard greens. So good! We also had a piece of pie. We love the chocolate pecan pie. As always, Tumble 22 is a hit.
Tumble 22 is a great fried chicken spot. I took my family of 5 there. They had kids meals which went over well and also lots of options for adults. The price was surprisingly affordable, although it is sit-down so be prepared to tip your server.
We had excellent service when we were there. The manager and waiter were very attentive and anticipated our needs well.
They basically have ranch and their own sauce, both of which are good. Then they have about 6 hotness options with dry rub as an option as well. I ordered the Dang Hot with dry rub (3 tenders) and it was really good!
I definitely recommend trying out Tumble 22 if you like fried chicken. The atmosphere is great as well!
Food was amazing but the best part was the Prices the prices here was unbelievable for all the food you receive! Good spot must try!
