This is a fabulous place to eat!!! Great ambiance and wonderful food. I had shrimp and grits and they were some of the best I've ever eaten, and that includes Charleston and New Orleans. I highly recommend this restaurant.
It felt like I went back in time. The building was standing during the Civil War. Let me make this short and simple the food was incredible, the service was great. The waitress / server was world class awesome.....I can't wait to visit this place again.
We went to the Old Vinings Inn at 11:40 AM on a Sunday and sat right down without a wait. The service was stellar and the food was on another level. I ordered the Spicy Chicken Sandwich and it was probably one of the best chicken sandwiches I’ve ever had. The fries were also great. Drinks were topped off constantly and the prices were very reasonable. Definitely will be going back here soon!
Everything was wonderful and I will most certainly return! The shrimp and grits were to die for! I was referred by the owner's wife and her opinion was not biased! My mom lives nearby and says she will be coming by for lunch. She loved her veggie omelette.
Sincerely,

Thank you Lee for orchestrating our large dinner so well! Our 9 dinners were all delicious, service was very attentive and the decor was magically decorated in this historic 1880s Inn. This marks our 4th annual neighborhood dinner and we look forward to seeing you next year!!
We had an absolutely wonderful experience here. The intimate attic bar with live music and events is a great place to sit. There's a very small cover charge for the entertainment that I believe is fully worth it. If you're not interested in entertainment, there's plenty of seating downstairs that's also a wonderfully cozy atmosphere.
Our service was fantastic, they were awesome. It's been a few weeks and I unfortunately forgot their names, but the guy who books the music/comedy talent and a short-haired brunette server were both really sweet, helpful, and funny.
We had the crab cakes and the Dr. Pepper lamb ribs, both were delicious. I love what they do with the brussel sprouts, it's similar to how I do them at home. We also had a delicious Caesar with anchovies.
The atmosphere, food, and service is all literally perfect. My only regret is that we waited so long to try it. We will be back again and again!
On a Wednesday, we came here for dinner for the first time. The service was excellent and it wasn't too crowded so our food came out pretty quickly. We ordered the beet salad, good but pretty small portion. The dinner bread they serve are basically rolls you can buy in any freezer section in a grocery store. BUT, I have to say that both entrees we ordered were the most delicious and satisfying dish that we've had in a long time! My husband had the fried chicken that came with creamy grits and tender veggies. And I had the pleasure of having the most buttery and crispy pecan-crusted trout ever with the best mashed potatoes. As you can see our plates were wiped clean, and we were so full we didn't even feel like desert. I will be back again! Gave 5 stars but hope they decide to change the bread service to house-made.
We really enjoyed brunch today at Old Vinings Inn. It had been a while since we had been in to eat. But, during the pandemic, we regularly ordered to go and everything was always wonderful. Today, the food was delicious, everyone was kind and welcoming and the service was prompt. I had the shrimp and grits which I think is the best in Atlanta. The restaurant had a fun vibe with New Orleans jazz playing in the background. We will be back soon!
Firs time and it was amazing experience.
We went Friday night.
What a great surprise Food was excellent. We ask for green fry tomatoes, crab cake and steak. Service was outstanding. Place grate location.
We went for Thanksgiving so the menu was special but the food was amazing and the experience worth the money we paid.
Loved it. Not only do I want to return next year for Thanksgiving it's now on my list of must try's!
I attended a special party in the evening. For appetizers, we had the Dip Duo, dish 1 was spinach, artichoke and sundried tomatoes. It was so good, dish 2 was some of the best pimento cheese I have ever had. There was fried calamari with pickled okra. The okra converted some of the Northern guests to a southern delicacy. Salads were all the nutritus types of lettuce with a nice lite dressing. I had grilled salmon, my date had the Fliet Mignon. Both were excellent. The desserts were a flower less chocolate dish sliced like pie wedges and a blueberry crisp. They were great also(kind of partial to the crisp). All in all, everything was just great. The servers were right there to help with any need. It's definitely a must go for the food, the service and the atmosphere.
I (me in ctr) celebrated my bday with frds and had brunch! Food was scrumptious and staff was amazing esp Silas our waiter! I like the rich character of this place. Atmosphere of the place reminds me of nostalgic memories of growing up in the south! Don't chg anything! Of course, frds mentioned it was my birthday and got a choice of free dessert! I chose a brownie a la mode with caramel topping and bacon bits 😋 and it was delicious! Was a bit skeptical about the bacon bits with ice cream 🤔, but glad I tried it...sooo good!
