Astoria local here. I popped into Portalia on Saturday around 2pm to try out their brunch menu. Service was great; I was seated within one minute of arriving and our server was very prompt and professional being attentive to refilling our glasses of water and checking in on my order. I tried the gnocchi and burger - both were delicious, cooked perfectly and I knew immediately I would be back to try their dinner menu. Lastly, I tried the warm chocolate brownie with ice cream bar sticking out - a fun dessert to share or indulge in. This place is a great addition to Astoria’s growing dining scene with superb quality of food and attentive service to customers.
loved their pasta dishes. we literally licked to the bottom of dishes. Handmade pasta and balanced sauce make this place more than 5 stars italian bistro.

We were 2 couples, first time in this place - had amazing experience the whole night. We live in the neighbrhood so definately we will be coming more often !
Their gnocchi and parpapardelle are superb. Great Tiramisu. Very friendly manager/owner and a great vibe in the restaurant! Also, killer mimosas.
Great food. Great service. My dad and I got the Bolognese which was very tasty. Split 2 bottle of Chardonnay which was good. Got the Choc Lava Cake which was Eh. The only complaint is that it was one of those summer days where it actually feels like 100 degrees and there was NO AIR CONDITIONING. I had to ask that the fan be moved a bit in our direction.
One of my favourite bunch spots. The pizza and pasta is very good, ive had the steak and eggs multiple times. Bottomless brunch for 2 hrs with very attentive staff makes the experiences so much better.

I went on a Friday night with some friends, we were sat right away, by the hostess who was very nice. Tony the owner came over to check on us and we chatted for a while. Overall it was lovely, we had a great view out the window, the wine was delicious, we ordered a pizza off the bar menu to start and then had the fresh house made pasta yum! Followed by tiramisu that was to die for. Overall great meal and its really not to bad price wise. I'd come back, I might try their brunch, anytime I hear mimosas Im there.
We come back to this place often. Great food and welcoming decor.

Luigi's never disappoints... Food is always delicious and full of flavor. Their homemade pesto olive oil dipping sauce for their delicious bread is a signature dip you crave every time you come back.
We went with 3 other couples that have never been here and each one was so glad I pick Luigi's.
Started with baked clams, calamari, and a cheese and dried meat platter with peppers & olives... What a great way to start.... soooo good!
Entrees were veal Marsala, eggplant parmigiana, halibut, steak, and a pounded veal chop on the bone layered with prosciutto... Outrageous!
One of our friends were celebrating a wedding anniversary and we preordered a New York cheesecake with caramel drizzle, truly one of the best cheesecakes I've ever had.
On busy nights the front of the restaurant can get very noisy, so try to reserve the back room.. Much quieter.
They were one of the first with a wood burning pizza oven years ago before these ovens started to become so popular now... And they make a great pie. Make sure you make reservations they are booked on the weekends. Ciao!
