A true authentic Greek restaurant in Astoria that made me feel like I was in someone’s home, my Greek friends took me here so I know it was the real deal. We sampled a few plates, I’d recommend anyone else to do the same it’s the best way to truly enjoy the cuisine. We started with a salad and dips, a mix of fish and zucchini, and a dessert for everyone. Gave it a 4 since I didn’t get to try any meats, will definitely be back!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Stamatis restaurant, and I must say, it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. Our server was exceptionally polite and attentive, adding a personal touch to the evening. The atmosphere was welcoming, contributing to an overall great dining ambiance. The culinary experience was nothing short of delightful. I opted for the grilled snapper, which was cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. My fiancé enjoyed the beef stew, a hearty and savory dish that exceeded expectations. The crowning glory, however, was the dessert – an out-of-this-world treat that left us thoroughly impressed. Pairing it with a delightful melot elevated the entire dining experience. Stamatis restaurant has truly mastered the art of creating a warm, inviting atmosphere coupled with exceptional culinary offerings. Without a doubt, I would eagerly visit again to savor more of their delectable dishes and enjoy the overall fantastic experience they consistently deliver. Highly recommended!

One of our best experiences eating out in our trip to NYC! Definitely the most amazing service we've seen. Our waiter Michael was incredible, explained all the dishes patiently and was super friendly and efficient! Food is amazing and the servings are generous. Would totally come back and recommend to those going to Astoria!

I had seen Stamatis mentioned on Reddit quite a bit as a staple Greek restaurant in Astoria, so we went and checked it out for lunch on a Sunday. The food was A+, and service was friendly and attentive. I highly recommend the octopus and filleted grilled fish, they are spectacularly prepared. Prices are very reasonable for the quality and you can get Figo across the street for dessert.

Amazing authentic Greek food! Appetizers: The Crab Cakes and Grilled Octopus were amazing, Greek Salad was good, Spinach Pie was not tasty only thing I would’t recommend. Main: Ordered Red Snapper for 3, it was big enough where we should of ordered for 2 because we were so full from the sides. Drink: 1 liter of White Wine, great for the value! Highly recommend this place for family style eating.

Very nice greek food restaurant. It is spacious, friendly staff and fast service, good atmosphere, delicious food. We come here often whether is just my husband and I or the whole family or with friends. Great place for family gathering or any celebration. It is street parking, but no problem to find a spot. We usually order saganaki (it’s my favorite dish - the best here), branzino, salmon, sardines, calamaries, greek salad, spicy feta dip. Love lemon potato. Prices are reasonable.

Great restaurant for a night out! Friendly authentic Greek service! I had the Greek wine “retsina” (10 out of 10), and my wife had the house red (basic wine 🍷 7 out of 10). For food, we had the sea food combo, and the pastitsio. The food was great! The Pastitsio was as delicious as can be, it gets a 9 out of 10 for me, and the sea food combo gets an 8 out of 10. For desert, we got a complimentary “Bourek”, loved it!! Overall, this is a great place to hang with friends or to take a date. Would recommend.

Old school Greek seafood joint. We had spectacular dips, fish and veggies. Some sides were sold out as they make them daily. We had to wait at 8pm for our table. Family group after group, most 3 or 4 generations large, so the huge crowd waiting was seated quickly. Small touches that make this a gem: Incredible feta and olives. Great olive oil and vinegar on the table. Server, a woman of a certain age, was clearly tired after the Saturday night skam abated. She was sad we didn't try dessert but we don't do desserts and we were stuffed!!
