My wife and I have been coming here for years. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is peaceful. As a vegetarian, the grilled vegetable platter is amazing. My wife always orders the bone-in sirloin. Parking in the area is accessible.
The steak was brilliant. Overall, the dishes were great, although the scallops themselves had a slightly unpleasant odor.
Trust the reviews. This place is quality. The atmosphere is very classic steak house. Lots of wood and wine all over. Prices were modest. Service was top notch. Above Astoria blvd it gets a little rural and with it comes hospitality. Bunch of families eating. We got the steak for 2. Ordered medium. The best part was 1/2 the steak was medium and the other 1/2 was medium rare. So my gf was happy. And I left the medium rare on the hot plate for a little longer and it cooked to medium. So. On point. Thanks Meet the Meat!
Been here a few times. Steaks were cooked exactly as we ordered. Bacon was perfect. Crab cakes were a little soggy and first time we ever seen prices written on magnum bottles of wine with gold markers. They are lined up right when you walk in. $250 $300 $400. Seem to be working cause they have the empty ones right on the floor by the door. The place was packed. Two birthday tables and everyone having good loud conversation.
Very expensive but delicious. The food is appropriately priced for the quality. Loved the fish and potatoes! So much flavor. Wait staff was classy. Their cocktails don’t feel worth the price; I would recommend just getting wine. Also, what a silly name for a restaurant 😂 It doesn’t capture the vibe.
Ehh It was ok genuinely speaking but the food was supar for the price,
I can't speak for the other steak cuts but the NY strip I ordered for example wasn't presented well, it was just by itself on a white plate, No garnish what so ever, So not worth it over $50 more like $30 to $35 at most, The steak was cooked a perfect medium and seasoned well. Another issue Is there was a salt and pepper shaker, Isn't that like an insult to the chef?, The mashed potatoes was gritty and not creamy at all even though it was home made, The service however Is great, So maybe it's the overall experience you're paying for and not the just the food ? Not completely sure but may come again this weekend because I did come on a weekday when it was literally just me.
Love love love this place! Food is always fantastic , steak cooked to perfection and if you havent tried the tiramisu you havent lived lol! Myself and husband moved out of Queens a year ago and we still make a 40 mile trip to come here. There is no place like it!
Love the arch at the entrance. The seating area was bright and spacious. The food was amazing. The presentation and flavor was top notch. Must try the NY sliced steak. The owner is great with kids, added bonus.
The food was excellent. There was no one in the restaurant when we visited. It was a Wednesday night, so we were nervous. But by the time we left it was jumping. Great steak, wine, dessert, great waiter service.
Exceeding expectations. Host was gracious and welcoming. Steak was the choice of the day. There are fish and chicken dishes as alternatives but we came to eat what this restaurant is known for. Rib eye and the strip were at perfect temperature and flavorful. Creamed spinach was a good choice. Found the hash browns over salted. Wine choices are in mid price range.. Appetizer was the grilled octopus, tender and nicely seasoned.
