Grateful to have this restaurant open late near me. Happy Garden is super old school American Chinese in their operations and the menu, so don’t except anything too fancy or exotic. I’ve tried almost every category on the menu (appetizers, soups, chicken, beef, shrimp, Ho fun, mi fun, fried stuff), and while I feel it’s not 100% consistent, most of the time they hit the spot. If you’re particular about how something is made, they listen to special requests too. My favorites are fried wings and shrimp dishes, because i can taste the good and fresh ingredients.
Reliable Chinese food at a good price this is the place to go. First place I reach for when we order Chinese food. It’s quick, good and a staple in the neighborhood. It’s been there for at least 20 years.
The Happy Garden does a prepares a steamed and fried dumpling like no other. The staff is helpful with food selections. I would say walk over and bring your appetite. The atmosphere has a Chinese-Take-Out New York Style with booths that are attached and authentic.

Food was great. Not the best mind you because you can get better but at a higher price. Service is fantastic. The lady behind the counter always had a smile for me and delivered the food quickly. Not much atmosphere but your taking it to go most of the times anyway.
This is the best Chinese take out place. The people working there are polite and helpful and honest and the food and the ingredients are very good. I do not tolerate oil and I requested low oil and they listened and were truly careful about it. I really appreciated that and was able to enjoy my food. It’s also nice that there is spacious room to sit even though it’s a take out place
Service from Shirley was AWESOME!!! Despite being very busy she saw me with an elderly woman and rushed to the door to help! She was very friendly and caring! I will be back here just for Shirley!!!...and the food was great too!!! Fast and friendly!!!

Shirley of Happy Garden is always so kind and caring. This is a good spot for quick weeknight takeout. Some of the best veggie dumplings I’ve ever had and their wonton soup is a go-to. Can’t speak for everything on the menu except for aforementioned faves!!
