Cp Burger

The only “Aspen-style” fast food place in town. Perfect for families with children. My kids (age 2 and 4) love the hot dog, chicken tenders, kids burgers, fries, and milk shakes. My personal favorite is the kale salad (so good!). Vegetarians can enjoy the falafel burger. A Tip: the wait time to order food and get it could be long during peak season. Order in advance on the Toast App and your food will be prepaid and ready when you get there. I am not a big fan of the regular burgers - they are too small and quite average. You can get a better burger many other places in town (but pricier). The patio is spacious and the view is nice during the summer. There is a mini golf course right next to it (it’s an ice skating rink winter time). Overall, a good option for an affordable meal outdoors.

Five days post knee surgery, I broke my surgeon's rules and drove 18 miles round trip to have a cheese burger and truffle fries from CP burger. I parked on the street and ordered a carry-out, and no more than 1 minute later, Patricia was handing me my order and walking away. As I drove off, I reached into the bag to finally taste these truffle fries I keep hearing about, and to my dismay, they were cold, limp, and had the taste of old cooking oil. After I got home, I saw the condition of the lettuce and tomato on this dried-out cold burger, and it was not freshly prepared. I called to complain but was told I was mistaken. She didn't deserve the 20% tip I gave her!

It seemed like divine intervention - hot dogs had been topic du jour recently, our choice was made for us. Although I was surprised at the relatively small size of the place, there is ample outdoor seating for daytime patrons. At night after the adjacent skating rink was shut down, there wasn't much draw to sitting there, so we parked ourselves inside at a corner table farthest from the kitchen. Despite the distance, the smoke from their grill and fryers was still overpowering. We tried opening a window for some fresh air, but got told that we could sit outside to get it. Largely unpleasant. The hot dogs themselves ended up being pretty disappointing. They're billed as premium waygu, but nothing about that was evident biting in. Somewhat tough casing, no grill marks or charring at all, no brown mustard (?), sauerkraut and relish were unmemorable.
