Avery's Bar-b-que

Worst, Worst and WORST!! I took my kids here a few minutes ago. The clerk acted as if we were bothering her and had the worst attitude! I order the food, she walks back, she gives them my order and the cook says, “the special”, she says no. I look around and see a notice for what I just ordered at half the price and this lady didn’t even have the decency or customer service skills to tell me about it. My food is done, she walked around the corner swinging my bag. That’s it, no “would you like annnything else, no thank you for coming, no, would you like to check your order. Never going back again. Hell, Dickey’s is just around the corner and they at least act like they like their jobs!

Just ordered this on uber eats and it’s freaking terrible. I ordered a potato with chopped beef. Potato isn’t even fully cooked, it’s hard, no bbq sauce as I requested and covered in chives which I did not ask for. I also got a side of Mac and cheese and it is spicy. Spicy and Mac and cheese didn’t really go hand in hand so not sure what’s going on there.....Also ordered banana pudding and it’s literally banana flavored pudding and they just threw in vanilla wafers and bananas. I would not recommend this place and will not order from them again.

They have bright colored menus sitting by the register. With prices they don't honor. I waited 30 mins for a chopped beef and fries. The sandwich was soggy they didn't put the sauce on the side, as I asked, no cheese, as i asked, and the whole plate was cold. I asked the guy about cheese, he walked off. Didn't apologize or,get my cheese. They WILL NEVER get ANOTHER CENT OF MY MONEY. this was maybe 2 weeks ago.In Arlington office green oaks. Black business or not, I'm not paying for cold food and rude treatment. Keep it up. Nobody will want to bother. Make my own BBQ first.

Let me first say that I'm am extremely picky eater. So when I tried Avery's Bbq, I was impressed. I actually like everything that I've tried. And that says a lot! The Manager Greg has always been very pleasant and a pleasure to talk to. I've recommended several people to try them and they feel the same way. Good job Avery's!

They got my order wrong. I ordered a sliced beef sandwich, I got a chopped beef sandwich. There is a reason I ordered sliced beef. There were a few too many fatty chunks in the chopped beef. Also I ordered pinto beans and got baked beans instead. The potato salad, baked beans, and iced tea all appeared to be commercially prepared. I know a lot of barbecue aficionados wouldn't care, but I want the sides to stand out as well as the meat.

Went here for lunch on the way back into Phoenix. It was terrible. Brisket was all fat, very little actual meat. The sausage was not too bad, but we lost our appetite after finding fresh blood on our tray under the chicken. The only explanation was that the blood came out from a pocket in the chicken; which means it wasn't smoked long enough. So, if you want fatty Brisket and possible salmonella from undercooked chicken with a side of fresh blood, then this is the place for you!
