Mcgarvey's Saloon And Oyster Bar

The staff here was very inviting and had all tables distanced. We did not eat but we did have a couple rounds. There is a downstairs and upstairs which was a nice surprised. Sitting upstairs gave us a nice view of the harbor area. Our server was prompt and now informed about how to really pronounce and IPA ;) (it's really eppa.. also jk) She also new quite a bit about the beers on the menu. Hoping I get a chance to come back to eat!

The Postmates order delivered was not welcomed. Their menu did not mention fried pickles and the pickle juice leaked onto the fried oysters in the same sectioned container. It contained less oysters than the menu stated and more fried pickles than the person which said that normally comes with an order. They were soggy and not tasty. The Cole slaw was good as was the sautéed vegetables. Raspberry Cheesecake was delicious.

McGarvey's is a lovely institution with quality seafood, cocktails and service. The wait staff is incredibly attentive and helpful, and truly complimented a delightful meal outdoors (with live music). It's great to see that they're taking the necessary precautions to keep their patrons and safe at this critical time, without skimping on the experience you crave. 10/10 would devour that Po' Boy again.

This place is supppper cool. They have a TREE in the restaurant. That is amazing. The waiter was nice (Didn't catch his name, but you know who you are if you are reading this review) was really nice and helpful. The Stuffed Shrimp was really great. Shrimp with crab? Yes please, Wrapped in BACON? Oh yes. I didn't get it, but i stole some from my grandma, and it was really great. Fish and chips were also really flavorful and good. Decor, was also, amazing because THERE IS A TREE IN THE RESTAURANT. It is also much larger than you think it is. When I first came, it was PACKED in the front room, and I thought 'We're never gonna get a table." But then, they had a whole other room, which was really great.

Calamari, blackened fish tacos, crab cakes, asparagus and the fish of the day (flounder) were all great. Excellent tarter sauce. The cocktail sauce is pretty sweet. The salsa with the tacos is spicy and good. I wish I would have taken pics because the plates looked so nice. Our server was super friendly and she encouraged the crab cake which I was very happy with.

Didn't care for the lack of communication between outside hostesses regarding seating. One told us it would be 30 minutes. There were multiple tables available. While we're standing there(the only ones) another couple walked up asked the other hostess how long to wait and we're seated immediately. We were definitely not eased and won't be back.
