The Lucky Well

Any review less than 5 stars doesn’t know what they are talking about. This is hands down the best meal I’ve had in a long time. I lived in Arkansas for several years and had my fair share of authentic bbq through Texas, Kansas, etc…the lucky well could go toe to toe. The smoked wings and ribs melt in your mouth. Warm corn bread with homemade honey butter. The fried tomatoes!!! Everything from the atmosphere, to the live band, the incredible service (who have those machines that allow you to pay at the table), I am smitten. This will be a go to. Get your date night plans together!

The food was excellent. I can't wait to go back! The drinks, the appetizers and the service were top notch! The atmosphere was great too. Family friendly environment. There's live music on Fridays and Saturdays, we have to get back for that too. Go take your family, impress your first date with their menu that boast many options in a small or large plate. Definitely has made my top 10 local restaurants

The place is very neat. It’s very spread out and such a friendly environment. The food was good, but a little pricey for what it was. We would still come again. As we were leaving they had live music which was a nice bonus. We got the special chicken and the jambalaya . Great experience again the prices were just high for the food.

Went here for the first time last night. The food and drinks were killer. I got the brisket sandwich with a Cold Fashioned. Both very good. Also got an order of Brussels sprouts that were tasty. Service wasn't the best, but I think there were some new kids working. We asked if someone could break a single so we would have quarters for a meter, and no one at the bar could help us out with that. Kind of odd. An excellent meal nonetheless.

Went here's based on their online menu selection of vegetarian friendly items. When we arrived, the real menu was completely different and very limited. We ordered the cornbread, the sweet potato and a fried chicken sandwich for our guest. Cornbread was dry and cold. The sweet potato hD some sort of strange spice mix that didn't compliment its flavor. Chicken sandwich was teeny-tiny, like it was adequate for a five year old. Our server was very nice and tried to be accommodating but there wasn't much she could do about the food. Ultimately, we left her a nice tip and left early to find another place to dine.

the Lucky Well is a great experience!! we tried this comfortable bbq place on a whim right before a show at Union Transfer and were so impressed. the food is great and the staff is incredibly kind, we really enjoyed talking to our server. the whole menu looked amazing but we got the cornbread, pork sandwich, and a cheesesteak. and wow!!! i love cornbread and this stuff was so good it was like dessert! the food itself was amazing, big portions but so delicious we couldn't resist devouring the entire trays. i also got a cocktail, which didn't come out immediately because of a mess up in the ordering system (it happens - totally understandable!) and the manager even came over to apologize. they made me a new one AND took it off the bill which i wasn’t expecting at all. so not only is the food amazing, but you know you can count on an extremely friendly and accommodating staff!!! thank you so much for a great experience Lucky Well, we’ll definitely be back!

Great food, great whiskey selection, and great service. It was a Saturday night with full reservations, a massive bar crawl, and live music playing, and our server still managed to keep our drinks full, our food perfect, and even swooped in instantly when I dropped my napkin - she was always there right when we needed her, and we never had to ask. This place also manages to "have the game on" in the background without feeling like a sports bar; you can watch if you're interested, but you can also enjoy your smoked chicken and bourbon in peace. Not a ding on the place, but a word of caution: if you are looking for an intimate, quiet experience, check if they have live music. We could barely hear each other, and kind of gave up on talking at the end. That said, we will totally be coming back here. Get the smoked chicken and the mustard slaw.
