Big Boy Restaurant

We went here for breakfast/lunch yesterday. Wasn’t pleased in the slightest. It took our waitress 40 minutes to get us one drink refill, she pushed us to order fast and pushed us to leave fast by handing us the wrong bill, then didn’t bring us the right bill for another hour. She never brought me my toast, and what food she did bring us, was cold as it was sitting in the pass for at least 20 minutes. My French toast was way undercooked and raw in the middle. Everything was covered in grease. There were only 3 other tables there when we were there, and they only had 2 people at each. Our table wasn’t very clean at all when she sat us at it, I used baby wipes to clean it up before I’d let my baby touch it. We had to ask for her to bring us a few of our food items as we watched them sit in the pass for 20 minutes… Service could have been a hell of a lot better, as well as the food. The floor was really dirty for them being open only a few hours prior. I used baby wipes to clean the high chair she gave us and the wipe came out black, as did the wipes we used on the table. The best thing here was the chicken that came with the chicken & waffles breakfast. The waffle was burnt. The bacon didn’t even taste like bacon at all.. the sausage gravy was just bland. I get that people are understaffed, but come on… There’s absolutely no excuse not to clean your food establishment. 10/10 would not recommend going to this big boy. If you want breakfast food, go to John boys. If you have you’re heart set on big boy then go to Tawas. If you go to this one, you’ll end up sick the next day from undercooked food and/or the disgustingly dirty surfaces. Y’all don’t even deserve one star…

My husband and I went there for breakfast and a bit after we were seated the waiter Dustin came to our table and took our drink and food order. He said he was going to put in the food order before he grabbed our drinks, which was perfectly fine. Well he then goes to another table where a family was seated took their drink orders and immediately brought them out to them. We hadn’t gotten ours yet..hmm..so I got his attention and asked if we could get our drinks. Long story short we weren’t pleased. Our food was brought out and I can’t even…I wouldn’t serve what was brought out but I guess everyone has different standards. Usually that place is great and their waiters/waitresses are amazing I think we just got the not good one.

Very disappointing. Husband had what was supposed to be a Philly cheese steak. It was maybe 6 inches long. Beef steak pieces with a cheddar cheese sauce on it. No peppers or onions. No chips on the side. For $12. Thank goodness he had the salad bar. Which is also over priced at $10.99. I had a southern omlette. $9.00 for what may have been a 2 egg omelette. If I had to guess though, I'd say one egg. More hash browns in it than anything else. Not sure what has happened to Big Boy, and not just this location either. Very underwhelming and very over priced for what you get.

We arrived around 10:50am. Our server was Nicole. Ordered biscuits and gravy, and mushroom and swiss scramble. Watched 3 different tables come in (15 min, 20min, and 30min after us) order and get their food. Needless to say, after over an hour, and still no food or update, we got up at 12:00p and left.
