Alma Comfortable Restaurant

What you think of this hotel really comes down to the types of hotels you have stayed in previously. The pool was closed for cleaning but I wasn't there to swim. The air conditioner's front cover looked pretty shabby but that thing blew air that was so cold you'd swear it was winter outside. The room was spotless and so was the bathroom. The staff were excellent to me. I expected a nightmare after reading many of the reviews on the hotel but none proved to be true. No one stole anything and my room didn't smell like smoke. Outside of the hotel within the parking lot smelled like a wet forest but that is likely due to the place being surrounded by a forest. The same smell that anywhere up north has in my opinion. There are maybe 5 hotels/motels in this very small town. I'd choose this location again in a heart beat. Yea I'm used to big city living too but I didn't go here expecting to feel like I was at my own home. I showed up expecting what they advertised and that was what I received.

very helpful staff. Wish they'd fix the pool that they advertise, but it offers a clean, comfortable environment. We stay here every yer for the Scottish Highland Festival in Alma. Great choice for a cheap, clean hotel.
