Review Alma Comfortable Restaurant - Alma

It's alright. No fridge. Smells like feet. Pool isn't open. But this place is perfect for a basic out-of-rain/heat room. Pillows are thin and the breakfast sucks but like I said, nice place. Staff is really nice.except for one man who makes everything seem like such a Damn chore when it's his job. He was very judgemental. Will definitely come back tho.

What you think of this hotel really comes down to the types of hotels you have stayed in previously. The pool was closed for cleaning but I wasn't there to swim. The air conditioner's front cover looked pretty shabby but that thing blew air that was so cold you'd swear it was winter outside. The room was spotless and so was the bathroom. The staff were excellent to me. I expected a nightmare after reading many of the reviews on the hotel but none proved to be true. No one stole anything and my room didn't smell like smoke. Outside of the hotel within the parking lot smelled like a wet forest but that is likely due to the place being surrounded by a forest. The same smell that anywhere up north has in my opinion. There are maybe 5 hotels/motels in this very small town. I'd choose this location again in a heart beat. Yea I'm used to big city living too but I didn't go here expecting to feel like I was at my own home. I showed up expecting what they advertised and that was what I received.

First off I don't see where anyone is getting that the front staff are rude and racist. I myself am a Mexican and they were actually some of the nicest hotel staff I have ever come across. They let me pick between two rooms ( which any other hotel wouldn't). Second, this hotel may be old but because of all the bad reviews, which I assume they put everywhere they go is the reason why it cant be updated because everyone sees the bad reviews and they don't get nearly as much business as they should. Price is cheap compared to everywhere else I looked up and in better shape then the others. If I come back up here anytime in the future, this is definitely my first resort. Bed was comfortable, (Definitely wasn't no bedbugs like previous reviews). High speed internet that is actually high speed. Would definitely recommend this hotel than any other in the area of alma especially for the price.

very helpful staff. Wish they'd fix the pool that they advertise, but it offers a clean, comfortable environment. We stay here every yer for the Scottish Highland Festival in Alma. Great choice for a cheap, clean hotel.
