Hibachi Grill & Supreme

If I am not mistaken, this buffet restaurant recently opened, or changed management. The google placement seems a little off on maps, but it is located right next to the Army Recruiting Station. The name would make you think the buffett was Japanese, but it is more like the many Chinese buffet restaurants you may already see too many of. That being said, there is plenty to choose from, and no waiting. The crawfish was fresh, not frozen, and there were plenty of other great choices as well. Pretty good bang for your buck if you just feel HUNGRY!

The food was OK. For the lunch. A lot of people there. We sat in the corner close to the glass bubble wall. Quiet place. A lot of GNATS around! They are on the walls, on the tables, fly over the plates, almost got to the face. Even I saw them on the food on the serving tables. Here is one is stuck to my food. Could be the sign of the spring?

An ok selection of food, however they are not really on top of replenishing it, which is odd because they seem well staffed. The bathrooms were very dirty, in a buffet setting they should get attention at least every 30 minutes. It was odd having to pay after the meal, which they seem to determine because the waitress brings the bill to your table in about 40 minutes. This felt very rushed and cold, I do not see me eating here again. Nothing special, average, no real vegan options.

Met a party of 10 at this location. My first impression was of the hostess yelling at a very young boy about an ice-cream bar in his hand and saying that he must pay for those as he and his family were leaving the restaurant after paying for their meal. She came off as very rude. She was more preoccupied with her “being stiffed” out of the $1 they charge patrons for ice-cream (if you take it to go, instead of eating inside) then providing friendly, customer service to new customers and paying customers. Thankfully, the quality of food is better than their service. Our waitress was very nice, but the overall atmosphere and impression that I observed were staff members not very happy working at this restaurant. We will not return.
