Review Chopstix - Albuquerque

Silly name; great traditional Chinese fare. They have the gringo standard items, but honestly, their whole menu is the secret menu. Seeing photos online of their Egg Fu Yong with a sauce that I prefer, sold us on a lunch visit. Of course my lunch was delicious, but my buddy's Broccoli Beef lunch special was excellent, as well. And for $8.95 w/choice of soup it had me shaking my head. Those are 2016-2020 prices, that we do not see anymore where I'm from in Washington State. The ladies in the FOH did a nice job taking care of a very busy dining area. Glad these guys are doing well...

Chopstix is so great. The quality is reliably high, and I love that when you order their vegetable dishes, you aren't getting a little bit of what you ordered plus filler vegetables like carrot, onion, and bell pepper. Case in point: the eggplant in garlic sauce is just ALL EGGPLANT. So many wonderful vegetarian options, too. I love this place, and dining in to order the "special dishes" on the wall is a treat.

A true blessing for this city. The food was absolutely fantastic. Packed with flavor and piled onto the plates, every dish we ordered was finger licking good. The service was wonderful, everyone was attentive and kind especially to my three year old. Finally, an authentic Chinese restaurant I can visit regularly. The prices were fair and I couldn't find fault in the quality. As I walked to the bathroom I passed the kitchen and saw mounds of fresh, healthy produce being prepared as well as a gentleman filling and making dumplings by hand. No frozen veggies or frozen dumplings here for sure. Will definitely be coming back and I will make sure to suggest this restaurant to everyone I know. I wish they had a spot on Coors closer to Rio Rancho. But as it stands, it's worth driving 20-30 min to have my taste buds pampered. Stay awesome Chopstix family!

I love the atmosphere and the service. The service is very friendly and very hardworking people. Charismatic, as well I should say! My favorite dish is their Soy Sauce Pork and House Tofu. This is the place where it proves that Albuquerque DOES have REAL Chinese food. Especially if you are looking for Northern style. I still need to make my friends there. I enjoy every bit of it.

The food was absolutely delicious!! We had the Tao's chicken, Sesame chicken, and potstickers. Even my picky kid that doesn't like most foods ate the Lo Mein, Rice, and Egg Drop soup! So much delicious food for a good price!

The General Tao Tofu is delicious. Great service too. Not busy on new years eve for lunch. Great lunch special! Please add more vegan options!

Phenomenal local Chinese food. The meat is the highest quality I have seen in a local asian restaurant in abq period. The service is great and the menus are varied and easy to read. The good tastes delicious, and is clearly prepared to order. The prices are fair. If you like Chinese in abq this is a must.

This little hidden gem is absolutely amazing, the food was perfect and incredible, the portions were a good size! This place is definitely worth checking out!

I like the variety of the menu that gives you enough choices. There service is decent too. I take one star down for the flavour: some of them taste okay even you modify from what a dish should be( like using celery芹菜 for the 鱼香肉丝. We also ordered green beans but some of them taste..not so fresh. Still a good place for Chinese food for ABQ. May only win 3 stars compare to those from big cities.

Eat here. You won't be disappointed.

Satisfied my craving, left with some too! The food is packed with flavor. I'm assuming it's a family owned business. I'm happy to support them and eat good.

Authentic Chinese food in Albuquerque. Ask for the menu items on the wall. Lunch specials are great deals, and goes till 4 pm.

Outstanding customer service fast and hot food traditional and authentic the hand rolled dumplings are the way to go. This is a mom and pop run restaurant do not expect 4 star Cuisine or presentation this is straightforward good food done well.

I’ve been ordering delivery or take out from this restaurant almost every week for a few months now, and it’s great! I’ve tried several dishes, all very good. The soups are tasty, and everything tastes fresh and has lots of flavor. Most of the negative reviews seem to be about the unfriendliness of staff, but I don’t see it. I’ve always been welcomed and promptly acknowledged.

The food was very delicious and our order was on time. We didn't have to wait long. I believe this is a family owned restaurant.

Just ate here food was very flavorful people were polite

Clean but looks a little outdated. The cashier/hostess was very nice and accommodating. The food was second only to budai. I really like chopstix.

I ate here yesterday for lunch but didn't get to write about it, but the food and service was so good that it's been on my mind. I ordered the General Tao's chicken with fried rice and egg drop soup. It was off the lunch menu and it was the perfect amount of rice and chicken, the chicken was spicy but not too hot until you start eating the red peppers, which are still good if you like eating hot chili. The food was so good I finished everything on my plate leaving a very happy and stuffed customer as well as a good tip. I will definitely be going back to chopstix
Worth a Try!. For some reason i had skipped over Chopstix many times, i guess because it doesn't pop up at the top of the list and when you see it crammed in the corner of a strip-mall next to Family Dollar, it doesn't scream high-expectations. Someone recommended it though, so I finally checked it out and was hugely impressed! I ordered the Orange Beef and i absolutely loved it, and the portion was generous enough that I had left overs. Even the ambiance was impressive for such a small location. I would definitely recommend this restaurant, and if you have ever been hesitant to give it a shot, i say just go for it!

I have many friends from China, and chopstix has the only authentic chinese food in New Mexico. Try the sichuan boiled fish, ants climb trees, potatoes, house soup, it's all good!

Mmm egg drop soup. I really like this place. It's often cold in the dining area though. I LOVE the egg drop soup! Definitely worth a try. Cheap lunch too....

Chopstix. The absolute worst Chinese food I had ever had. I ordered the General Taos chicken and fried rice. Both were awful.

Authentic Chinese Cuisine. I'm not talking San Francisco or Seattle authentic Chinese, I'm talking China authentic.

I have not seen some of these dishes on menus outside of mainland China. Also, this is one of the few chinese places in ABQ that will serve it up to you banquet style like they do in China. They use a large round table and a large lazy suzan in the middle of it filled with a variety of dishes for everyone at the table to dig in.

They could make it better by offering a few other authentic dishes that I miss from China like peking duck, hot pot, or some other dim sum.

A decline in service and food!. This place used to have DECENT food. Not great food, I've grown up with people, who could actually cook the real deal, in the north west (these people ran some top notch restaurants). But this was as good as it got in the South West. Maybe it was the economy or maybe the place got a new owner...whatever the reason is now, has turned the food into garbage. I used to go in three to four times a week and I'd drop $12 to $30. After last night, these guys won't see a dime from me. They actually made their won ton soup with green tea. Their egg rolls were pretty much black; which I had to wait ten more minutes for, since they forgot to throw those in the first time. They gave me soggy chow mein instead of the low mein. Other customers were waiting around, ten to twelve minutes more than they should've. With the exception of the large family the staff seemed to know. That's pretty messed up if you ask me; you don't leave a disabled guy unattended to, especially if he's trying to pay the bill with a nice tip!

Delicious!. Chopstix is a welcome change from your run-of-the-mil american style Chinese restaurants. At Chopstix you will get a chance to sample some truly tasty dishes that us New Mexicans don't get a chance to see very often.

I highly recommend the Mustard Greens w/ dried bean curd and the Dan Dan noodles.

Give Chopstix a try. You won't be disappointed

The precise date in which chopsticks were first used has been lost in time. Archaeological evidence found in burial plots indicates they are at least 3,200 years old though some scholars believe they’ve been around even longer than that. Even the evolutio
