The restaurant, servers, and ambiance were great. My only problems were, 1- on a relatively empty patio we got seated next to a group of very boisterous women and it kinda ruined our date...well, not ruined, but it was not pleasant. And 2- the servers were a little too on the ball. The food came too fast, someone was always there filling our water, taking plates, and I feel this is unpleasant when you want some quiet conversation. On a positive note, the restaurant was beautiful. The food was amazing. The bread was the best I've had since I'd been to Europe. And I especially liked my Italian Gin&Tonic. Delicious.
I’ve waited a long time to get to come here and overall we enjoyed it. Three things that I was surprised by was how hot it was inside the restaurant. The temps were very mild all week so maybe they were having an issue with their A/C. The other issue was my husband received the wrong meal and rather than removing the plate, they left it and brought out the correct dish. They never said anything about it and it was really awkward. We ordered a bottle of wine and my husband gave our server the bin number but the server said just tell me what wine you want because the bin numbers are never right. Really? I would expect more from a Michael Chiarello restaurant. I will say once the correct food was delivered to the table, it was delicious.
This restaurant was everything I wanted and expected it to be. We went for our 10-year anniversary dinner and were surprised with a personalized Happy Anniversary card. Our server was personable and knowledgeable. There were 2 things that shocked me. The first was the size of the portions. They were larger than expected. The second was the bill. I really thought our server didn't charge us for something or a couple of things. He did. It was all on there. I rarely walk out of a restaurant of that quality feeling like I got a deal.
