Simply Amazing! What a concept! Food was great, Daniel, our bartender, and the staff, were fun, friendly, and knowledgeable on the both the menu and the area. Awesome happy hour specials, too! Truly the best time we had at a restaurant in a long time. When we come back to the Dells, we will be sure to come back to Hot Rocks! Thank you! ❤
This place is amazing, the food is gorgeous, service excellent, our waiter "excellent"his name is Raul, he did a good recommendations to us, I recommend this restaurant 100 % really q different experience..!
Great food that you get to cook to your liking. Husband got a sirloin steak with side of garlic mashed potatoes. I got a mixed plate that came with salmon, shrimp, and scallops. FYI if you don't want to pay an extra $3 don't get a salad, soup or Mac n cheese as your side! Always great fast service...these were pics while the food was still being cooked on the hot stone
First off- yes it's pricey! But this place offers an experience that you don't get anywhere else. So you are paying more for the experience. We took our family of 6 there on a Saturday night. We all got ribeye. It comes out practically raw on this hot lava rock. The server then asked everyone how they liked their steak cooked and gave instructions on how long to cook it. Simple. I found the serving size of the food to be just right. The mashed potatoes were awesome!!!
We celebrated a birthday! They brought out a free dessert that had a sparkler (firework) in it. See attached pic! We also ordered another dessert. All in all, we enjoyed outlr meal. Yes, it was about $300 for the 6 of us to eat. BUT, experiences and memories made are priceless.
This place was interesting! The concept was different from anything I've ever seen. You have to cook your own food, which I thought was different and was up for the experience. A little pricey, considering you're doing the work lol but nonetheless neat. Portions were rather small for the price, as well. Overall a cool experience but if I were in town again, I'd probably not go back.
A little kitsch with the tiki drinks and decor, but overall a good experience. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. They can manage a large party. Unique approach to dining- the food is seasoned, brought to you on a hot lava rock. You finish the cooking at the table. Our party of 3 had lamb chops, filet, and rib eye. The meat was well seasoned and top quality. We had a starter of the brew house sampler. It was ok. Fried things. Our 12 year old liked it well enough. The sides we had were garlic mashed potatoes ( not enough garlic) , wild rice, baby carrots, potato wedges, and Mac & cheese. Mac & cheese was really good. The rest were adequate but you are really going for the meat, which was great. Service was super.
My favorite experience in the Dells. My favorite item was the garlic mashed potatoes, I couldn’t get enough! They worked with me to get me a gluten free meal, but they still weren’t 100% sure, I had some food on my plate I had to avoid. Really enjoyed the experience and the food, it was fun to cook it yourself. My boyfriend is a chef and enjoyed cooking it to his liking. We even got a cool souvenir cup. Alcoholic mixes were tasty. I wish a restaurant like this was closer to my state, but this was a great end to our vacation
