It’s a small place that seats only 7 tables so you need to get lucky or make a reservation. The owner was extremely friendly and let us sit before a reservation. Food was 10/10. Fantastic. Definitely get the black sea combo and finish with a Turkish coffee. Will return every time I’m in the area.
Wonderful family owned Turkish/Mediterranean restaurant. Super cozy, and the service is great; they make you feel like family. The food is delicious, too! It's a small place, so expect to wait a little for a table.
This place is beyond delicious! We were visiting from chicago wanting to try restaurants near us and ran across this place! I ordered the chicken pita, it was absolutely the most delicious chicken pita i’ve ever had! it was juicy, flavorful and fresh! My husband had the lamb and beef and was blown away! the service his was immaculate! Everyone was so friendly the food was amazing! And that turkish coffee was amazing flavorful and gave you a jolt of energy!!!
This place has been on my list for years and I'm kicking myself that I didn't get here sooner. It is delightful! From the warm welcome to the Turkish coffee & to-die-for baklava, our group of 5 enjoyed a lovely and memorable lunch. The generous amount of gyro meat was thinly sliced and deliciously seasoned. Salads were very fresh with a traditional, light dressing. In particular our group gave high praise to the Shepherd Salad and the Vegetarian combo, but we'll all be back soon for the baklava! It is ridiculously good and made with pistachios. What a treat! Next time I go back I'll take pictures. Prices were very reasonable. The place is cozy so I recommend making a reservation or catching lunch there mid-week when it's less busy downtown. Take out seems a popular option as well based on the orders I saw going out the door. If you've been sleeping on this one like I was, get over there and support this local, family owned business.
Outstanding service and food. I ordered the surf & turf and that was amazing. Don’t forget to order the desert which was to die for! It was nice meeting the owners too. I highly recommend this restaurant.
I can't rave enough about this restaurant. This was my first time here and I was absolutely impressed! The service was awesome! Our server, who I'm sure is the owner, was incredibly friendly and personable. He helped us navigate the menu. The food was impeccable! The lamb chops were like butter! Very delicious! If you choose the dine here I strongly recommend a reservation as there are few tables. We unfortunately witnessed many people get turned away without reservations.
Authentic Mediterranean, great atmosphere, excellent pricing. Black Sea Grill is a hidden gem for authentic Turkish food with a great location, service, and atmosphere. Can't believe we've walked passed it so many times. It's in our top 3 for local restaurants now! Try the Turkish wine!
A super intimate spot for authentic Turkish food. If you are lucky enough to get a table at Black Sea Grill, you'll get a meal unlike anything else on Front Street. The family that runs it hustles hard to provide great service, and the food is fresh and well-prepared. The falafel and hummus is top-notch!
In my opinion one of the best places to eat in Wilmington. Grilled chicken was cooked to perfection. Salad was refreshing and the dressing was to die for! We spoke with the owner while we were there and he was super friendly as well. Highly recommend this place.
