Food was great! Drinks were mediocre!

The lamb was perfectly tender and the steak was massive. The burger was also tasty and the bacon appetizer is a crowd-pleaser.
Fantastic meal, good for special occasions, and the butcher block adds a nice touch to the ambience. Restaurant is clean and service is friendly, but the menu is a little pricey. If you like modern bar & grills, give it a try!

This was my 3rd visit to BBG. It was a fantastic dinner for 3! The Filets were done to perfection, medium rare with a char that crumbled into flavor bursts in your mouth, just the best filet I've had in 50 years! The grilled asparagus to die for, the creamed spinach and Large baked potato done to perfection. Your missing a great meal if you haven't been to BBG.
Did I mention the excellent service staff? Oh boy, what great service Ray and the bus boys have perfected. Ask for the garlic bread & melted cheese on-the-house appetizer! So good we asked and we're served twice on the house! The absolute best meal ever!

Excellent burger, fries and service. Easily one of the best that I've had on Long Island.

Some of the best tomahawk chops I've ever had. A unique spin on a steakhouse. Fun atmosphere especially when it's sometimes birthday. The bartender is knowledgeable of cocktails and easy to converse with.

Went for first time Sept 2018. Amazing place. Delicious food. Nice decor and ambiance. Valet parking option. We got the Long Bone Ribeye for 2, Steamed Spinach and Giant Loaded Baked Potato. STEAK was INSANELY DELICIOUS. Dana was an absolute pleasure!!! Made my husband's birthday extra special. Drinks are pricey, similar to NYC steakhouses, but the wine on tap, which pours from a spout in the wall (so cool) is fresh & delicious & is offered as a carafe, which is a more affordable option if you plan to get more than 1 glass each. Planning to go back very soon to try the highly rated Kobe beef burger. Yum!

This was the first time we have been to bbg and was an amazing meal. We had a great few apps with the bacon and the calamari. No one at the table had a traditional steak. 3 of us had the burgers which were perfect and my wife had the filet risotto which was fantastic. Our only knock on the place was when they have a birthday they blast music and lower the lights to nothing. If I was at a lounge that would be fine but you can't have a conversation when that happens; which is a bunch of times that night.

A great experience and a place to come back.

Apprehensive at first due to mixed reviews online and from colleagues. Was pleasantly surprised. Food was excellent overall. Execution was great, seasoning was almost there (steaks and fish needed more salt) but the veggies were seasoned and cooked perfectly. The mushrooms had some sweetness to it, possibly a balsamic glaze (not my favorite)but that is my personal taste. Cocktail sauce was not what I expected...it was better! The only let down was the stale chocolate cake (server admitted that it is a purchased product) and for $17, they could have put some more love in the fruit plate. Will definately be back. Much better than some of the other "best steak houses on long island", which were really disappointing.
I must say that going on a weekend night or a holiday like Valentine's Day or Mother's Day, where the staff is typically overwhelmed and just going through the motions to get the food out, is not the best time to be critical. Very few restaurants can hold their own in those chaotic crunches. I chose Thursday; the product is likely just arrived for the weekend nice and fresh (except for the aged steaks of course) and the staff is alert and ready. If you're going to review a restaurant, give them a fair opportunuty to serve you properly, and you will likely be satisfied.

The hostess was a little bland, but the bartender was really friendly. We are ate the bar. I got the petite filet mignon cooked to a perfect medium with a baked potato. The husband got the prime steak blend burger but it was a bit over the medium well. He liked it even still. We got great cocktails; the BBG Signature drink with strawberries and Bulleit and the Left Hander, also with Bulleit and orange. This is a great place! We'll come back!
