Eckart's was a cute luncheonette I have never been to. The food was pretty good. It was a bit difficult for me to order as I am gluten free. I feel like some of the prices are way too high. The milkshake is 8 dollars...I could purchase two half gallons of ice cream for that price of a single serve shake. The side of coleslaw was the size of a condiment cup... It was delicious, but it was hardly anything to be considered a side. The staff was nice, but could have been a touch more attentive. The decor was old timey and nice to look at. Overall I was a little underwhelmed, but it may have to do with my dietary restrictions.
What a great find..Left Montauk early and decided to stop for breakfast on the way back westbound. Googled places to eat around West Hampton and Eckart’s popped up. Gave them a try and we are so glad we did. Place is old timey original, service is spot on and friendly, and the food was fresh and delicious. Will be back, a definite go to place me.
Cash only….Breakfast and lunch, closes about 2:00pm
Absolutely my favorite place. Love the atmosphere and of course the food.
This place is a wonderful little gem with delicious food and a warm, welcoming staff! Full of charm and good vibes - I highly recommend it for an experience good for the belly and the soul! Billy was our sweet server who enriched our experience say hi when you go! 🫶🏼
I've been going to Eckarts since I was 5 years old, as my parents and grandparents. Theyve kept many of the old touches in the building right down to the root beer barrel I remember as a child. The Eckarts are lovely people, and ingrained in the community. Tried and true menu, but not afraid to add new things. Comfortable, non pretentious. Love it !! The only place I go to in WHB.
Love the old antiques decor here. Food and service are great
Charming and Lovely. The home fries were wonderful but nothing like a normal home fry.
There are a variety of seating options, there are what looks like tiny little pews from a tiny little church made into cozy little booths.
It has of Sardinia, spanning two walls, Painted in the 1950s, in exchange for meals...
The 1950 is, when the East end of Long Island the fifwas a place to grow food for New York and for the most intrepid artists and bohemians. Lots of interesting artifacts from these gone by.
This place has been open since the forties, the food was great, the service was great, the place was clean and the atmosphere was charming.
I had vanilla waffles which is not something I would normally have so I have no idea how it compared but the Maple syrup was real. The coffee was excellent.
Nice little restaurant with a retro feel. Very charming decor that probably goes back 50+ years, frequented by locals. Food was pretty good too.
Great spot for breakfast. Would absolutely return.
Step back in time and enjoy a fantastic wholesome meal and service with a smile
