Starr Boggs

I've only been eating at Starr Boggs for a couple of years but every single experience has been incredible. They did an amazing job of reading the table and meeting all of our needs in exactly the time and way that felt best for us that night. The food is stellar and perfectly paired, there is never a reason to substitute because so much thought goes into the makeup of each dish. The amazing food is only made better by the wonderful sommelier and her ability to give perfect wine pairings. This is a restaurant I plan to visit for a very long time.

We go here a couple of times a season. The prices have gone up but the portion sizes haven't (I know, I know, the pandemic....) That being said the food is very good. Only complaint was that my Gazpacho felt ice cold. I know it's a cold soup but not ice cold. Can't go wrong with the halibut or the cod. Calamari salad is the best I've ever had by a long shot.

Dinner, cocktail and wine menu very diverse and seasonal. Easily accommodated every diet preference in our group. Especially impressed with the cocktails since most places outside of NYC have very basic options or make weak offerings. Ambiance especially the outdoors is really inviting and sophisticated. Service is also great and on par with what we’re accustomed to in the city. Even the namesake owner himself came by our table for a friendly greeting. Our group of 6 are a diverse multiethnic bunch and our experience was nothing but gracious and enjoyable.

Found! Best place for dinner in Westhampton, hands down. Owner and chef Starr Boggs greet locals and patrons with a warm, familiar smile. The menu is American with an orientation towards seafood. I would say the food is fussy (not simply prepared) in a good way as the flavors and spices make the underlying dish burst with flavor. The atmosphere is lively, especially in the back bar area on a cool night. I recommend the drinks served with fresh juices, they were juicing up a storm right in front of me at the bar. This is one of my favorite restaurants. The ambience is fabulous. They have an outdoor seating area that is great as well. The menu has great selections and the chef knocks it out of the park every time. Service is outstanding and the prices are reasonable considering the area. I highly recommend this restaurant. You'd be hard pressed to find a better place for dinner or cocktails. Be sure to make reservations in advance as this place usually gets booked up fast especially during the prime summer months. Did I mention that the food and service is outstanding!
