Northstar Cafe

My husband and I ate here on a Saturday morning. It was busy but the staff were very nice and friendly and the place was clean. The atmosphere of Northstar is modern and upscale. It has a pretty and chic interior design. It was a bit louder inside the building then I personally prefer. You order upfront and seat yourself, then they bring you your food. The coffee is self serve and they had 4 different flavors at the time for us to choose from. The food was yummy. The biscuit I ate was the most thick buttery biscuit I’ve ever had. Their selection of breakfast items is more interesting compared to traditional breakfast places. For example they have ricotta pancakes instead of regular ones. We ordered two meals and two coffees and our total was 40$ so the prices are considerably higher. Our pancake was not cooked all the way through the inside but the staff were very caring and responsive and brought a new one out very quick. They even gave us some free meal coupons to come back with. Over all this place was a pleasant and an interesting experience.

This is a staple in our family, especially weekend brunches - the heavenly pancakes, the fish sandwich, the burger, the fritatta, the salads, you literally cannot go wrong. While we have heard rumblings about the way they treat staff (definitely not cool) the service has always been top notch and we have been loyal customers for years. It is a bit pricey but the food and service have always been top notch and well worth it!
