This is a awesome little hole-in-the-wall bar going to or from Mountain Hood. The service I got from a little old lady with short white hair was fantastic! The food was really good as well. And even at 10 a.m. they will cook the whole menu. The drinks are good everything is reasonably priced the bathrooms are clean. It's a cute little sports bar with a old feel to it. Nice and cozy
Very lovely locals place. Was nice to see they had some small breweries on tap as well as your general beer that you can find practically anywhere. We didn't get any food only drinks. The table next to us did though, and it smelled amazing (BBQ wings). The chairs were comfortable as well and plenty spacious; had outside seating available. Don't sit by the door if you have asthma though, it can smell a bit like smoke. Had a good selection of games, some arcade and a pool table. Oh, and a music machine. A great place to go to after hiking around mount hood!
The the only place I know on or near the mountain to watch the Blazer games. Very accommodating. We also went there to watch football games. They have a special menu and then also free hot dogs etc. According to my husband, they have the best fried chicken.
Cool little spot with a great mix of local flavor and accepting of strangers from near and far. Great bartenders, cozy leather chairs, solid pool table and delicious food! Couldn't ask for a better pit stop!
This was our first time visiting the Shack and we will definitely go there again! The food was amazing and the portions were huge! It was a bonus that to play pool is free on Sunday so after our meal we were able to enjoy a couple of games.
We stopped here on our way home from Sunriver and it was absolutely delish and family friendly. I had the shack burger and it was huge and the best burgers I ever had and the fries are da bomb!!! My hubby had the monster stack and loved it, he couldn't finishing (yep I finished mine lol). My 14 year had the linguine carbonara and he love it, I took a bite and it was delicious. Highly recommended it was delicious and very reasonably priced. Kacy was our waitress and she was very accommodating and made the experience. She just made me want to smile!!! Thank you and we will be back for sure. Our new family tradition is stopping here when passing through 🔥👏😋❤
Love The Shack
We stop every time through town. A local spot but the staff is friendly and engaging. Last time through I ordered a Boneyard Diablo Rojo, so happens a Boneyard sales rep was sitting to my left and bought me a beer.
We hit up the Shack for Taco Tuesday when we get a craving for American style tacos which seems to be around 4 times a year. Tacos and a couple Beers with a short walk home. Perfect!
Decent food. Great prices. Bartender was awesome. Definitely a place of "regulars" but that's fine. I'd eat there again.
We've gone back three time during our stay up here and have loved every visit. Trust the reviews on the fried chicken, it is amazing.
