Superb. The pulled pork, turkey, & ribs were perfectly smoked. The potato salad & sweet potatoes were great.
I really enjoyed our server and the food. Yes, the price is premium for only above average food but considering the area Fat Buddies is a great choice for family or individual dining.

A tasty surprise in a little town that was huge on flavor. You can smell the smokiness before you get out of the car even!
There was no wait when we arrived and our server Charles was prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable. We order a half onion loaf and we split a rack and a half of pork ribs, with fries and beans. The onion loaf was exactly as good as i expected with a spicy ranch dip. The ribs came out fast and were an instant hit. Absolutely delicious sauce and beautiful smoke ring. So sticky good. The beans were on point. Homemade and hearty. Not from a can. There was also garlic toast which helped make a great rib sandwich, lol.

Decided to stop in on a recommendation. SO glad we did!! Staff was so friendly. The Food is amazing. Bbq, Brisket, Ribs, Chicken...all of it is the best I've ever eaten. We can't wait to get back to Fat Buddies.
Delicious pulled pork and fried okra! The baked beans are on point, too! Nice atmosphere and good service, too! Highly recommend if you like good Southern BBQ!
We ordered takeout because we had our little fur baby with us! We are vacationing up here for a week! I lived here for a couple of years in the mid 90’s! I love the red based bbq sauce in North Carolina! I’m from South Carolina and we have the yellow sauce, which I don’t care for. I got the pork bbq, slaw, baked beans and my husband got ribs , okra, slaw and French fries! My husband thought they could have given him a few more ribs because our order was over 50.00! But overall, it was very good!
My boyfriend and I ate here and had a really nice time. We were seated immediately. I got the fried chicken tenders platter with potato salad and Kraft mac and cheese, and it came with Texas Toast. I meant to get french fries, so my boyfriend got french fries and shared them with me, and I gave him my potato salad. The food was great. I expected to get a few more tenders but I left full. And then the Kraft mac and cheese was a classic, I got it because I can never get mine to taste like they make it in a restaurant. The french fries were nice and crispy. Our server, Taylor, was incredibly sweet and checked in on us at the perfect times. I really liked it here and would definitely like to visit again!
We just had a great catering experience with Fat Buddies for a family weekend wedding. Fat Buddies of Waynesville was our choice for the rehearsal dinner with a backyard BBQ theme. Victoria provided great contact and updates during the planing process and the team arrived on schedule at the venue for setup. The food was delicious and plentiful. I received many complements throughout the weekend. I would definitely recommend them for your BBQ catering.
Absolutely wonderful experience, food was great, they took us as a party with 18 people in it. Everyone loved the food. We went to Maggy G first and they wouldn't take our group, so we decided to try a new place out and we found us a new dinning spot. Decor inside was well put together, with car rims as lights. Wall hanging and signs were perfect. I had the ribs and they were done perfectly. Thanks to the team there.
My wife and I found this restaurant online ( we probably would have never found it so to the location- in a strip mall behind the Ford Dealer) and had a very good meal. The Brunswick stew was very good as was the ribs and brisket, but the best item we had was the Rib eye. It was seasoned just right and cooked just the way my wife likes it. She was debating on getting it because it was 14 Oz, and she thought that was too big, well she was wrong, it was so good she ate the whole thing! Service was attentive and atmosphere was laid back and easy.
Being from Florida, I expected a different BBQ than I was used to and was not disappointed. The BBQ beans had a smoky flavor as compared to the sweeter Florida flavor and was top-notch. The ribs, brisket, and pulled pork were great, and the service was excellent.
We've ate here before & it has always been good. This time, however, it was FANTASTIC!! We ordered the pig out special for 2! Plenty of food and every bit of it delicious. The homemade macaroni & cheese was unbelievably good. Can't wait to visit again.
